What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hahaha shit dude... She felt so bad. I can't be mad at her, she didn't do it on purpose (I think lol). She did offer to buy a new one and a new steal bumper did cross my mind. But karma and love... That crap you know?

 

I’m still undecided. I can add one later though. There are drop-in inserts on Amazon so I’ll just need to make a cut with a hole saw and drop it in.

Added a cutting board slide to my fridge slide. Now I can have a cutting board, while sitting on my tailgate cutting board.

 

I wouldn't have a girlfriend anymore if she did that to mine....

 

I took her (and the wife) camping at Assateague! The fridge is amazing. We are living it up and having salmon for dinner! Too bad the awning wasn’t shipped in time.

Does anybody know what the thread is on the bolt that holds the oh chit grab handle? I want to get one of them ball mounts to hold my phone. Thanks in advance.

Just came back from getting a new battery. Put a voltmeter on it and asked my wife to crank it. She never got that far, opening the door and the dome light coming on knocked it down to 6 volts. $170 later it’s back in business.

 

Today was paint day. Used the same bedliner that's on the rest of the truck to color match them. Tomorrow I'll install mirrors and the rubber trim in the window channel, and mount them. Was a little hasty with it so there are more runs on these than the rest of the truck, but hey....they're half doors. I'm not too worried about them.

Thanks. Now they're just to the useable point, but still have a ways to go. I want to paint the interior of it all white, and then rivet on some aluminum on the inside for a nice clean look. And mount the speakers and reuse the stock wiring harness. And of course windows! It'll be a slow project now that the brunt is done.

 

It might be easier to mount speakers in rear doors. My trucks a base model 4x4 & it has cut outside for speakers under the plastic. No speakers though! Lol just like prewired for back up cam & no rear camera.

 

I already have speakers back there. And since these are OEM doors, there's already a mounting point and everything. It'll be real easy to add the speakers back up front luckily. Pretty much just need to screw them back in.

Tried to brainstorm replacement mounting hardware for my thule basket so I can finally mount it on my cab rack. Had to cut it off my last car.

Anyone familiar with older thule products? This basket is at least 10 years old.

 

Added 4 runner mirrors-now have turn signal, puddle lights and heat-all with a factory color matched cap. Big wiring job but coolest ever mod. Also added a led light to the center consul since I had everything torn apart

 

Is there maps for these? Heading on a road trip this fall and would love to hit some back country roads up there.
