That’d be full on stupid. But if you buy the D2S Kit and bake your headlights yourself it’s a few hundred and better performance / clean cutoff.

I think I spent like 300 something back in the day all in.

No one makes decent looking Quad Projector headlights with a decent DRL/Switchback....
I hate the jewelled eye look. Too busy

I asked alpharex if they would have a Pro series headlight (Quad Halogen Projector) for the Tacoma and they said it wouldn't be possible because there is no space in the headlight assembly.

If you think that is expensive you should see the “custom” headlights they sell on runnin4tacos.com

These “start” at 1,050. Ridiculous. They better be able to see into the future for that price!

Should look into the kustom54 headlights for Tacoma. Looks aggressive and not too overcrowded. (Not my truck in picture) but if I was rich enough to have $1000+ for headlights I would happily choose this one

Clever, but what about if you have them on and drive backwards? Technically they are illuminating the past. Lol.

Either way they will never be bright enough for anyone to see me waste that much money on headlights!

Will echo this. I went with a pair of the AB6 retrofits and love them in every way. Light output is a huge upgrade over stock, I love to design and the DRLs, install wasn’t bad. Expensive but not any more so than other full aftermarket replacements.

That's exactly what I use, Sylvania Zevo (and they don't require a resistor) everywhere except signal lights...they're next!

For just headlight output, a projector retrofit will be the best. But for the whole package of performance, looks and a better sequential turn signal design, the morimoto xb is the best plug and play solution for aftermarket. I still love mine after 6 plus months and if you pair them with the baja squadron wide corner fogs or tundra led fogs, you will be more than pleased.

Man I was tempted about getting these over the OEM but after hearing how many people have had issues im a bit skeptical unfortunately.
I like the look and performance of these over OEM but just not sure how they will do as far as a light going out or the clear coat coming off like other aftermarket lights.

Also keep in mind the Morimoto XB and Alpha Rex full headlight assemblies are fully DOT compliant. Any retrofit or HID/LED drop in is not DOT compliant. Part of what you pay for with the Morimoto, Alpha Rex and OEM is the cost of them getting their headlights certified and having the piece of mind knowing you won’t have any issues down the line.

You want quad halogens?! Most people are looking to move away from halogen to HID or LED. I would say no too if someone asked me to make a headlight with quad halogen projectors... no one would buy it.

Alpharex makes Quad Halogens for everything else OTHER than the Tacoma.
It is called their Pro/Luxx series line
One it is significantly cheaper, and personally they look better.

I asked if they will be having a Pro/Luxx lIne for the Tacoma, and they said there is no space in the headlight assembly.

The reason why I want/asked regarding the quad halogens, is because they can be retrofitted with HIDs.

LED headlights are all these alien jewel eyed look.
I would LOVE headlights made with Quad HIDs, however no one makes HID headlights that are not retrofits.

The AB6 is also just an OEM headlamp with a retrofit.

    I run a retrofit myself.
