By Software Update thread, are you referring to one of the TSB update threads (like 0058)?

I did my update to 4b13 for exactly zero cost with Techstream. I do not consider the Tactrix cost in that statement since I bought for OV / VFtune. Tactrix actually contacted me to let me know I could use their cable interface for Techstream and wanted me to let everyone know that was another use for it.

This is topnotch stuff, and topnotch support from OV / VFtune and Tactrix. I am just blown away by how helpful and responsive they have both been.

I think there used to be Labor Day sales? But, the world is different now as is vF. There's nothing to do but wait.

 

Man any discount they offered would be awesome, but not at all worth the wait. It really is that good. If the truck ran like this from the factory, they wouldn't need 0 percent, cash back, or even hot sales ladies.

 

I'm so tempted to just do it all now but I think I'll wait and see, as it's only 2 weeks. It'll be an impatient 2 weeks.

I get that and I’m less worried about the money than making sure I understand the process and making sure I order everything I need.

Lets be honest, none of us care about breaking even if the performance is as good as we are told.

 

The purchase and flash is pretty easy. I have never tuned anything other than slapping a cheap physical chip into my bike or messing with jets and shims.

For me, it was 50:50. Value and performance. The new MT features are a third leg for it to stand on also.

 

Wait... I didn’t get 0 percent, cash back, and sure as hell didn’t get hot sales lady. I’m doing this all wrong!

 

At least I got the hot sales lady.

 

I got a pretty aggressive discount. Probably better for me in the end.
