Crap I thought that was the "dongle" that he was getting away from! I would have bought it from him had I known that!

Can some devise a comprehensive diy for alternator voltage increase for AGM owners?
If I missed it, can someone link me.

I could not buy the cable from VF tune. It said unavailable. I bought the tactrix.

I'm beginning to think I should have ordered the cable from tactrix as well. Seems like yours shipped out pretty quick.

I've ordered VF Tuning software and the Tacoma tune packs. Now I just need to get my ecu id and I should be well on my way to getting re-flashed. Thanks for everyone's help so far and willingness to answer my elementary questions without being condescending!

Ya, that is a max effort example. I have never seen any vehicle as low as these 3rd Gen Tacomas though. My Silverado and my wife's Ford Edge V6 TT AWD both put out over 14.5v.

I’m sure mines the same then (x2 27f). I just glanced at the label on it and it only said 14.1

My 1968 Camaro has a Group 24 with a 100 amp alternator that puts out 14.6 volts and works great.
My Tacoma has a Group 24, the highest I've seen my volts is 13.9 (all stock).

That's the good thing about vFtuner, once the tune packs are available we can bump up the output.

Please do because I am also completely clueless. It sounds like if you have nothing you need the Vftune kit and the Tacoma tune package...unless you want to build your own tunes?

    Cleaning throttle body
    Hi.
I have a 2006 tacoma. I want to clean the throttle body and plan to remove it with hoses and lines attached to clean front and back. Is it okay to open and close the butterfly plate when cleaning.

    Thanks. Matt
