    Light bar and ditch pods
evening all first post so please go easy on me!!

So I purchased the following dual switch from Amazon while picking up ditch lights and a light bar for my 2016 trd off road.

    https://www.amazon.com/Switch-Light...=4RunRun&qid=1592963673&sr=8-1#detail-bullets

I have the auxbeam 32" light bar and Nilight ditch lights that i want to run of this switch, both lights come with their own relay and switch - 2 relays and 2 switches.

    I get to wiring it up as follows;

coming through the fire wall I have the following

    for the light bar
    White - 12v
    black - ground
    blue - light bar trigger

    and for the ditch lights
    White - 12v
    black - ground
    blue - ditch light trigger

I wired it up as follows

Black to black from both switches - ground
red to both whites from each of the switches 12v
yellow to the adda fuse connected to the tail fuse in the fuse box - switched power
blue to blue for the light bar
green to red for the ditch lights

Now the lights work when the switches are pressed, however the backlight for the switch is always on - even if the ignition for the truck is off.

i think i need to swap the red and yellow wires on the switch but want to confirm this will work. Then while searching like crazy and finding limited people running switches like this I come across this thread

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/dual-led-switch-wiring-help.581146/

Showing Jumpers on pins 86 and 30 for constantly on and something completly different to what I have done here to wire when using switched power.....

    what do you all think?

    thanks!

SWITCH POWER should read SWITCH Illumination
Do not use the white power from the harness, it always has juice, hence the back light always ON.

thanks guys, I think it was a combination of the different harnesses, and me believing they would be wired the same way, I left it for the day, came back drew a diagram and got it figured out.
12v from each of the wiring harnesses were different colors (Nilight and Auxbeam harnesses) one was red one was white (I assume'd both the whites were hot), this explained why the switch remained lit even when off.

I can honestly say I know a lot more about relays than I did before!! Both the switch and lights work fantastically!

So they are able to come ON even if vehicle is OFF then...

I have mine set up the same way. I was not able to find a fuse other than the IGN in the engine bay that was off till the truck came on. I did an led light bar and ditch lights as well, to a dual switch as well. Once the truck is on the switch backlight comes on. I can turn lights on with the truck off. I also have raptor lights that are wired to the IGN fuse.
The led bar is connected to battery and the ditch lights are on the side mirror heater fuse which my truck does not have.
I turned mine upside down so lights match where the buttons are.
