The black rim picture thread

I just followed the steps I found on this site that other people used to paint their wheels. In short.....cleaned them....scuffed them up....primed and painted with Duplicolor wheel paint....then cleared them. Going on 4 months...look as good as the day I painted them.

I know im gettin black rims soon, and these pics are BIG help.

 

Im really into those method racing ones, I looked online today but couldnt find them in black only chrome. Part of me is thinking of just powder coating my stockies or painting them and saving the money then when i buy new tires do it. I also really like the pro comp's so I'm basically gonna have to flip a coin. I saw k9cop's stockies painted and they look good. so im thinking of just busting it out when it stops snowing or warms up a little.

yeah I painted mine black first, wasn't too bad, just took up my entire day haha but turned out pretty good. I got my methods through discount tire, maybe try them even if you don't go with the methods

 

That's *cool* I never liked that pro-comp "script-swirl-chrome-writing-logo-blotch" thingie in the middle of my hubs.

How did you get those TRD buttons and how did you attach them?
