It has been mentioned serveral times on this thread.

Go to Lowes and get Dupont Dry Teflon. It is about 5.99 for a spray can. Spray the shit out of the Uniball on the top and bottom. That will speed up the process. Mine creeked a lot when I first got it and now it is perfect. I have had them installed since April and since I sprayed the teflon I have never heard the creeking again. I spray the teflon on there once in a while just out of OCD...LOL. You should be good. The uniball is touching the nylafiber and that just needs to wear in.

    Hope this helps

    [IMG]Tri-Flow® Superior Dry Lubricant: 5.89[IMG]
Tri-Flow® Superior Dry Lubricant is an elite formula created for dry and dusty conditions. The 2oz drip bottle applicator allows for deep penetration in hard to reach moving parts. Featuring paraffin wax and high-grade petroleum oil to allow the lube to go on wet, but then set up in a dry, 'wax-like' film so it will not attract or absorb grit and grime. Perfect for dry, dirty, dusty conditions, while still providing adequate wet weather performance. Holds up to extreme pressures and resists water wash-off. Provides incredible efficiency without attracting an excessive amount of contaminants. Great for Uni-Ball bearings.

LOL...I'm lazy and most of it is in my description. I will have one up soon.

I heard this is good stuff. I might have to get that when my dry teflon runs out. Thanks Dan

I bought the dupont spray online. I tried other sprays and nothing. The dupont spray is the only thing that could hush those things up. They are super quiet now.

DuPont Teflon is by far the best spray lubricant I've ever used.

The ninja technique for avoiding popping is to lube the uniballs BEFORE installing the UCAs. Lube them, and wiggle the uniballs around throughout their full arc of motion. This allows the lube to penetrate the bushing and evenly coat the uniball before any contaminants are introduced. Wait 5 minutes for lube to set. Flip UCA over and do the same from the other side. Wait again for lube to set. Install UCAs. Lube again.

Regular washing and lubing is what will make these uniball bushings last the longest. A little extra maintenance, but I think it'll be well worth it.

What do you wash the uniballs with before re-lubing?

Just rinse with water, preferably with a little pressure (ex. hose sprayer). You want to remove visible dust and dirt which act as abrasives and wear things down faster.

This rinse will also remove most of the lubricant already in place, hence the importance of relubing afterward.

The only real downside of these aftermarket UCAs with uniballs is the lack of dust covers (although Icon UCAs do have them).

Just to let everyone know that the price will go up on these UCAs to $599.

When you call to order make sure that you mention "TacomaWorld Special". Current price is $489.

Just bought my set from James at the Truck Shop, and also a set of 1.5" wheel adapters. I'm waiting on installation, probably by the end of month.

I'll get some install pic's ready with lift, tires and other mods I've done.

I may be getting a set of these UCAs this winter. That is if I still have money left over from the sliders (if the guy will ever respond to my e-mails (not the truck shop)).

When are you coming back to SD? I want to hit up Drug Airport/ Welk Resort Trail with someone who's been up there. Man there is a lot to explore up there.
