On the driver's side, the front retainer bolts will be obstructed by the fuel tank I think.

My BAMF HD shackle will not fit over the bushing. The bushing is about 3" and the shackle is about 2 7/8". Has anyone successfully installed these?

I'm hesitant to attempt the install with factory shackles since they appear to have the same smaller opening but difficult to tell on the truck. Is it possible the bushings are incorrect? They look different from the limited pics I have found on here.

No issues with stock shackles on mine. Slid right over the bushing. :notsure:

The only unforeseen issue I had was installing the parking brake cable fairlead bracket. I opened up the mounting hole a little with a unibit, to fit on one of the retainer bolts.

Fitting the 2.5" RXT shock on the passenger side was a bigger pain. Had to use a Dremel carbide cutter to slot the hole in the shock bucket.

You bent the BAMF or stock shackle? It don't see the BAMF bending very easily...
I tried forcing it on with a hammer but it's just gouging the rubber part of the bushing and doesn't seem like it will slide over the inner metal sleeve.

Pictures for reference. Still not sure I want to pull a factory shackle just to hope it fits. May just reach out @JLee or @AccuTune Offroad tomorrow if I can't figure this out.

you just need to spread the ears apart enough to fit over the spring sleeve. A vice and a big hammer should do it. Or try to pry it apart with some all thread and nuts washers until it slips over the bushing and sleeve. It probably just bent a little when they welded it.

Installed the leafs on option 2. The ride definitely feels more planted and less rigid.
I gained 2" in the rear and went from 23" with an AAL to 25" with the leaf pack.

I'm hoping the rear settles before I raise the front about an inch to reduce the rake a little more.

Re-doing my entire suspension and I have a set of Icon RXT leafs arriving next week. Pictured here is how my truck sits 75% of the time, as I really only pull the tent off for winter. I'm currently running stock leafs with a HS 3-leaf AAL and I think it's having trouble with the weight. Pictured below is how it sits with an empty bed, and loaded up for trip you can imagine how much more it'll squat. I'm leaning towards option 2, as I've seen others in this thread with similar setups have good luck with that, and I don't think I have the weight for option 3. That being said, I'm okay with some rake for when I load up for trips. Should I try option 2, and if it's not enough, toss in the extra leaf?

Love my Icon RXTs. I would probably go with option 2, as I did. That was recommended by accutune as option 3 has more likelihood of stretching out your brake lines when your shocks extend. I have the perfect amount of rake and thats with a RTT, bedrack, maxtrax and rotopax. I can imagine your snug top isnt too heavy. So I'd say try option 2 first.

I'm in a different camp here. I had option 2, but once I loaded up the RXT's on option 2 it sagged a bit (top picture). I went ahead and added the last leaf to option 3 and the truck drives a lot better and handles really well fully loaded. (bottom pic) but again that's if you plan on carrying a lot of weight (I'm estimating about 600 to 700 pounds.

I am setup very similar to you, but add a pair of sliders and remove the tent. So same weight, but much lower of a CG. Option 2 is perfect height wise. If you keep that tent on all the time, I’d go option 3 for the extra stiffness/stability.

Alright, leaf pack came in today and I set it up for option 2. Took a bit longer to get installed than I was anticipating, but no major issues to report. Overall I'm happy where it's sitting for now. I'm back at my original lifted height before I added any weight to the bed. I'm wondering if the Leer shell weighs less than the 200lb estimate. According to Icon, I should see a 1.75in lift with 200lbs. I'm seeing 1.75in of lift with approx. 350lbs of weight in the bed. I guess we'll see how things settle. This last measurement was after taking the truck on a 2-mile loop.

Here are all my hub to fender numbers (rear left/rear right)...

Stage 3 with bamf shock mounts. Still not stiff enough when towing the off road trailer, but when I’m not towing there the best setup I’ve run yet.

Anybody rocking the TRD Pro Suspension with the RXT leaf springs?
Looking to replace my original sport leaf springs they're really flat but id like to keep the truck the way it is, leveled.

Anyone know the difference from stage 1 to stock leaf springs height?

I did have the 3rd Gen TRD Pro Fox suspension with the RXT’s on Option 1 on my 2nd Gen. It honestly felt really great although the height results are much different for the 2nd Gen.

The stock height in the rear from center of hub to bottom of fender should be around 22 3/4.” After my RXT’s settled, I’m at an average of 24.”
