I need help locating new power lock actuator motors. Referencing the links below lead me to purchase the wrong motors from eBay. The old motors have terminal two prongs next to each other. See pictures below.

The power locks were not working and would only make a clicking sound when the lock/unlock button on the door panel was pressed. Turning the key twice to unlock on the driver side would only unlock the driver side. Turning the key once to unlock on the passenger side would only unlock the passenger side.

I temporarily fixed the problem by twisting and breaking loose the motor shaft. It felt like it was locked up from crud buildup. I then sprayed it with MAF cleaner and reassembled. All the functions returned to normal, but I am worried it’ll give out again.

Good luck over the years I have found quite a few electrical parts special built for a manufactured part

If you can find the vendor who built the lock actuators for Toyota maybe you can talk them into selling you some or who made the motors.

Dealing with a 20 year old truck the company that built them might have been bought and sold several times. with no records from 20 years ago. I find this all to common trying to find parts.

Get some used ones clean them and lube for spares.

Thank you, I think you're right. I'll search the junk yards for spare parts.

I was rebuilding my driver’s side actuator today (stripped gear) and got thinking about this thread. It looks like a different 12v motor could be used it would just need to be soldered in place rather than use the plugs at the end of the motor. Alternatively, perhaps you could remove the plastic end cap from the old motor and install it on the new motor?

While that is a good idea if you have the time for experimenting great.

Most times I don`t have time to get someones Door working or take a week rounding up parts I will misplace .

Now if I had a extra Door to experiment in my hibernation

Soldering it would probably work. I’ll try tinkering with it the next time I take it apart to see if I can replace the end cap.

You just need that little white motor?

I just changed my passenger door out on my Tacoma, the truck has manual windows/locks so I swapped all my old stuff into the new non rusty door. I was going to throw away the locking actuator but I can send whatever I have that you may need.
