any one have issues when crawling rocks or hills with the traction control limiting power to wheels

This weekend ran a rocky road but my truck was having a rough time getting over little ledges and rocks I was in 4 wheel headed up the mountain tough areas trying to crawl over my truck would start making a clicking noise and not allow acceleration after I'd reverse a bit get a good start at obstacles and continue on any suggestions or any one have simular problems thanks.

Hold the traction control button down for a few seconds. You should see all the lights on the dash come on regarding to TC. That will turn it off.

I thought 4lo automatically disabled normal TSC. If you have an offroad, you have MTS on the roof console and can select the aggressiveness with the dial. That is your "off-road TSC".

If you allow the truck to roll backwards, the hill assist will brake the truck and does a weird power cut. I don't know if this can be turned off, but I'll bet that's what happened. You can't turn on VSC or normal TSC in 4lo.

I think when he said low range, he meant 4lo. As in 4 wheel drive - low range. Not what gear the transmission was in

You’ll need to be in neutral when you long press the traction button. I could never get all the assists off while in “D”.

Can the hill assist/rollback feature be turned off? There times I would like it off. Really all the time, I don't get why an auto would need it. The power cut is kind of retarded.

What tires do you have? Might not be enough traction to begin with?

I do not believe it can. I run with all functions off most of the time. The rollback assist only lasts for a few seconds (in my experience) before you start rolling again. The long press works in any PRND, just have to be completely stopped, then you'll see the two lights come on for the functions begin turned off.

The power cuts are odd, and I've had a difficult time figuring them out. All assists off helps, but power can still be cut under certain circumstances. I've had a couple where I will be at an intersection with cross traffic having a green, I step on the gas to turn right, see a car, put on the brake, and then step again quickly and it will do a brief hickup before picking up. It only has done this a couple times and is hard to pinpoint why. Offroad I haven't had this happen, at least not with all assists turned off.

The sport model is the only one with hill start assist. I don't believe the OR has it. My MT OR doesn't have it, thank god.
