Yeah I hear you. I have to be cautious due to close ones in this household having a weak immune system. I appreciate you still wearing one for others’ safety.

And hell yeah, you’re on your way to 295’s!!

Do expect it to settle about that much. Your aftermarket bumper will speed that up lol

The OEM leaf packs have the tendency to sag real quick! Just me sitting on the tailgate would make it sink. The previous owner likely hauled a few heavy things in the bed for it to be that severe.

The original leafs will definitely sag with added weight. Foam on the seats caved in??? NOT NORMAL LOL. I have a canopy on my truck right now and it sags. When I go camping and throw things in the back it sags even more. I would recommend just adding a leaf to save money or replace it all together depending on your future mods... or just buy a truck with everything you have ever wanted a more (most people like adding their own shit).

The only thing I can think of was the truck was abuse or the mileage wasn't accurate. The search goes on.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated.

I can buy a new TRD Off Road truck for a few grand more of the asking price. Most of the Off Road model I looked at they're asking around $30K. For the 2015 model year. For $30K I expect the interior to be like new and no saggy suspension. I walk away from that truck.

A second gen is optimal. I wouldn’t let a saggy spring pack turn me away from a gently used truck. It’s an easy fix.

5100s and OME 885 coils front, 5100s and AAL for the TSB leaf pack (overload left in) rear. Jeraco camper shell.
That looks like a great time.

Here’s one of me from last week technically off-road.3C01C806-5FBF-4CE7-8491-E01B08E7694A.jpg

The asking price of the truck with the saggy springs, was more the book value. Then I would have to sink more money into the truck. I rather buy one without any issues. Plus I'm to picky. I want everything perfect.

I look at a 2014 TX/Baja at a dealership a few weeks later. This one had 18K miles, and in excellent condition for $26K. I was a little late, someone left a deposit on it. It's not hard to find a low miles Tacoma I just have to be patient. Most of Tacoma I'm looking at has under 30K miles on them. This COVID-19 is putting a damper on things in this area. I may have to wait a little longer

I get it. But like you said, finding a low mile second gen may prove to be rather difficult. A spring pack isn’t too much and will rectify your issue. Just my 2 cents. Good luck either way man. I just want you to be happy with your purchases.

    Thanks!

I got a feeling my pickiness is going to get in the way of having a nice truck.

My opinion is to wait and get what you want. I am super picky with my vehicles. Wait. If it is financially able, wait for what you want. Buy once, cry once. You don't want to buy something just cause you "need" something and then a few months later have second thoughts.

This is what I'm going to do. I don't want to have regrets months later.

Because of the auction house being close due to COVID 19 the used car market took a plunge. Now I have no other choice but to wait.
