FYI, build pics can be found in the next two posts over here. BTW, the Dobinson greasable shackle bolts are too long for the Archive hammer hangers. Eric @ARCHIVE recommends using the hardware he provided for the hammer hangers.

Have an inquiry on the Dobinsons Leaf Packs.

I'm currently running Bilstein 5100's all around and all set to 0 mark. OME 887s up front and a single Wheelers AAL on the factory leaf packs.

After adding a Leer 100XR and a topper rack (~300Lb) I have some sag and when the bed is loaded with gear and or towing my 1500 lb boat its really bad.

Looking at adding a mid or heavy weight pack kit to correct the sag. Can you help me determine which pack is best? Mid or Heavy. Also, I assume I need the longer u-bolt kit? How much will these leafs lift my back end over stock?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Tyler

I am setup somewhat similar, hard shell, extra constant weight in the bed, occasionally towing 1000-3000# via utility trailer.

I went with Dobinsons L59-111-R heavy leaf pack. On stock suspension I gained 2.75" of lift in the rear.

Here's the best before and after I have20200526_101206-COLLAGE.jpg

My truck came with stock Offroad with a 1.75in front spacer and a rear 1in block.
Here's a pic of the stock setup (top) compared to post @ARCHIVE Hammer Hangers, U-bolt flip kit and his bumpstops, plus the Dobinsons heavy leaf spring20200726_083332.jpg
20200710_123421.jpg still pictured on stock rear shocks.

Son. Of. A .Bitch. I need to stay out of your threads. Since I'm such a brand whore....or OCD. I will want to replace the rear Billy 5160's with matching shocks  I haven't even put the lift on yet. It's been sitting inside for a few months  :anonymous:

I think Greg gave the best answer there, since he's basically got the same setup!! hahaha

L59-111-R is what I'd suggest for you with ~2.5" to 2.75" of lift over stock. Stock hub to fender is ~22-22.25" so you could get an estimate of where you are now. Yes, you'll need to get the bushing kit and u-bolts with them.

On the page here, you'll see them as optional parts listed in the description (scroll down): https://exitoffroad.com/product/dob...pair-for-toyota-tacoma-2005-to-2019-l59-111-r

Yeah, it's just taking forever for production time these days. We're hoping to see them in September or October. Then @gixxerphil will have a yard sale with his 5160's for sale... hahahah

For the cost point...hard to beat, especially when compared to the less-than-stellar feedback out there on their Aussie competition we have readily available here in the States. If you are going with @ARCHIVE Hammer Hangers, I'd consider buying his or getting the DIY cross tube parts! I went with his HH, ubolt flip plate is PURE BEEF like the hangers and also got them with his bump stops. Dobinsons bushings, sleeves and leaf springs have been excellent in ride (had the HH and cross tube on stock leafs with a 1in block for a month before getting/installing the L59-111-R leafs and the Dobinsons poly bushes and sleeves.

    Here's more
Here's another perspective of Dobinsons Heavy Leaf Spring + HH and other mods:20200727_095340.jpg

Got my Dobinsons IMS shocks and 314 coils installed over the weekend. Pretty happy with the results so far. I do believe that even after it settles I will probably be pulling the shocks back off and lowering the seat height some. It's currently at 220mm passenger side 223mm drivers side. That has yielded me about 3.5" of lift prior to any settling. I was at 21.0" in the front prior to the lift and am at 24.5" currently which surprised me because I was thinking that the 314's would give 2" at stock seat height of 213mm. Since I wanted 2.5" I went with 220mm + 3mm on the driver's side to compensate for the lean. But I feel like that has them preloaded a bit too much. It still rides ok but does seem a little bouncy on the highway. After it settles, I drop some preload, and get a proper alignment, I think they will be REALLY nice. The rest of the install consisted of SPC uppers, ICON progressive AAL with Bilstein 5100s in the rear (waiting on IMS rears to be released), 17x8.5 SCS Ray10s with 33x10.50x17 Kenda KleversIMG_20200725_091307.jpg IMG_20200724_202235.jpg IMG_20200724_231941.jpg

Make sure and check the front leaf pack clamp bolt to gas tank clearance. It's usually a good idea to put the head on the inside, there has been instances of the bolt gouging into the gas tank as the suspension cycles.

    Truck looks great.

Any rubbing with the wheel and tire setup? Did you do a cab mount chop?

    Thanks
