Well i spent lik an hour thinking myself to death and I think i answered my own question...
But right now, i need to figure this shit out because if i don't i'll be stock tire size and suspension for the rest of my life.

Either i lift the truck with rims and tires, or i lift the truck with suspension i'm picking tires for the time being.

    s̶o̶ ̶i̶'̶m̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶s̶e̶l̶l̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶P̶r̶o̶c̶o̶m̶p̶ ̶S̶e̶r̶i̶e̶s̶ ̶6̶9̶ ̶1̶6̶x̶8̶ ̶r̶i̶m̶s̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ BFG KO2s 265/70/R16 w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶T̶o̶y̶o̶t̶a̶'̶s̶ ̶t̶i̶r̶e̶ ̶p̶r̶e̶s̶s̶u̶r̶e̶ ̶m̶o̶n̶i̶t̶o̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶s̶y̶s̶t̶e̶m̶.̶ any takers? tires have alot of life on them left.
edit; found rubber that fits my existing rims and what i want out of them

anyways for rims i'm looking at the SCS F5s 17x8.5 with the -10mm offset, most likely in bronze. @Norilsk @tacoma16 which store in Toronto did you get yours from since you run that rim? i assume there isn't issues with the brake caliper being a paper thickness away from the rim, not sure what the difference is on a -2mm offset since my current ones are -12mm :cookiemonster:
are there any other rims that follow that style by chance that you know of?

    for tires i have two as options but recommend something else if you feel like either isn't all too great;

    - Falken Wildpeak At3w 265/75/r17 (these would be 31.5" technically speaking). but not sure if i'd be rubbing with this on since i'm 265 and not 255 as i'd like to try and get to, because pizza cutters. the Falkens do come with a 245/75/17 but wont fit the SCS rim unless i stretch them but.... there are more problems with that idea that i care to entertain.

    - Yokohama Geolander A/Ts 255/75/R17. these are a true 32" but no idea what people think about them for our climate.

    - any other recommendations? I want to pick something out this week because i'll never buy anything at this rate and to shut me up - i just need to move on it. BFG KO2 is sort of out of an option for me, they are fantastic in everything that is; not the snow, not soaking wet from a little bit of rain. I was drifting around Burlington at every turn since the wheels just let go everywhere after the Milton meet and greet last weeked.

another question is; i have no idea how to sell things other than using kijiji and not sure what to price my tires out as.

Why not just keep your 16" rims and go with 265/75r16. Thats what I have and there is no rubbing on stock suspension. If you go to a 17" rim you'd have to go with a 265/70r17 and the diameter would be the same as the 16" rim. The Wildpeaks have been great and they're priced pretty reasonably.

because as we had both measured, i'm a full inch-1/2 lower than you are with all the weight i have in the front end.

I'm hoping to get some lift through tire size more than suspension to help compensate the drop and because of clearance issues, ask about that by-pass i've not yet done, i'll eventually get the suspension upgrade and lift it 1/2inch or something more.
    :anonymous:

also i'll wear out the TRD OR suspension first and then i'll look into it.

My tires are 1" larger dia than stock. So half inch ground clearance increase. You'd likely have to go to a 33" pizza cutter, either 16 or 17" regain or increase your ground clearance.

the issue is that i'm an idiot and can't find 33" pizza cutters that fit a 16 rim that isn't a M/T.
Nore can i find 32" tires for a 16 rim.
    :bananadead:

that's why i'm considering 31.5s or 32" pizzas for a 17 rim. i also have more options for 33s via a 17 rim, but not sure about fitment since well, they body is lower.

it's this mess or the suspension mess...

wheelco I believe. In Vaughn. I have ko2’s because they are cheap. Would love to have coopers. The tires @Norilsk has look promising as well.

The rims in 17’s aren’t going to be an issue with brakes. I have larger brakes fitted from a 4runner with zero issue. 17 is a good choice for that reason. Plus more tires available in that size if I recall.

the 255/85/16’s that @llamasmurf is running and a few other guys are running may fit your bill. coopers I believe.

You can get them in a 17” 255/80/17

also I like cooper tires.....names my dog cooper for that reason....

Cooper ST Maxx is available in 255/85-16. It's an AT tire. I'm pretty sure all those pizza cutter tires, either 16 or 17 " are E rated. And no doubt you've seen this, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/put-255-85-16s-on-stock-or-wheels-and-suspension.491079/ and this, https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/255-80-r17s-pizza-cutter-thread.525039/

Yeah it's why i gave up fighting keeping my 16s since there are a lot more options for the 17s...also that site doesn't seem to have the SCS rims :(
@ODSC1 linked the cooper tires below for a 16 which i might move on instead of getting the 17s.

    |

Also i've not seen either of those threads since i wasn't hunting down 33s. i was more inclined with 32s

but christ, 32.8" 16s that are still pizza cutters and that is an A/T? i definitely had not see that one yet.
but from the looks of things, the tires are set to Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX, that makes my life easier.
The size page looks like it's E rated, little E under the 255/85/r16.
    but looks like all of the options for pizza cutters are;

    LT255/85R16 - E rated 32.8"
    LT255/75R17 - C rated 31.75"
    LT255/80R17 - E rated 32.8"

now, where can i get them for 16 rims...
Costco doesn't carry them and i'm not sure 4wheelparts carries them. i'll ask em tomorrow on my lunch if anything.

    Crappy tire has them... https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/tires/pdp/cooper-discoverer-s-t-maxx-tire-2084148p.html#srp

I got mine in Milton. Most tire shops can order you what ever you want. Jd tire in Milton is pretty great to deal with.

I'll keep the Milton place in mind, but since it's a bit of a drive i'll check local to me first.

I'll chat with 4wheel parts since they are a stone throw away from work. I'm sure they can help out in some way.
otherwise there are 2 other garages near my work that do tirework and one of my coworkers frequent it. If 4WP lets me down, i'll talk with them. If not, i got a local guy in Hamilton that my Dad goes to, and if that all fails.

as a Hamiltonian. i have no other choice but to go to Sparkies, if they can't get it. i'll go to Milton lol

If it's not even sold in Canada, i'll call Cooper and ask them to sponsor me and send them my way.

check out 905 Tire...they’re on the other side of the bridge. Got my Wildpeaks from them (beat all the other quotes I had from various other retailers). The only thing is they charge 3% extra if you pay with CC.

I'll give em a call as well, not far from work either and i'd be able to ask a coworker to give me a ride over without issues.
    cheers!

I mentioned this one earlier, 33.4" pizza cutter:
If you go 17s then I'd recommend Konig Six-Shooter: https://www.tacomatownonline.com/co.../konig-six-shooter-17x8-0?variant=19991203781 I believe that's what @Joe23 runs. The Kenda RT 35x10.5" (nominally 265 wide) pizza cutter on this wheel should require less butchery than the wider 35" tires.
