    Hey TW folks

I have a neighbor that has an M10102 military trailer in her yard. I’ve expressed interest in buying this trailer from her but she thinks it’s worth a few thousand dollars, The sticker has a price tag of 3,800+ But I’m finding them online for $500 all day long.
For anyone familiar with these trailers they’re pretty badass! Dump bed, high ground clearance, auto braking system, made by the military and presumably indestructible.

My wife is going to be organizing a huge garage sale for this lady and she wants to put this up for sale.
I’m debating on whether to sell it or buy it myself.
I would like to know what you guys use these for and what mods or additions y’all would recommend.
Also if I do sell it what my asking price should be.

    Thanks everyone!!

just a couple of things tbh
finding one for less then 1k is a great deal but not easy at all man. plus those are large if you plan to pull it with a tacoma i would try and find a m100 or m416 not a m10102

now here is an idea if you do want to go along with the idea and buying it.

you could make a wodden box (or metal) to enclose it and make it into a tear drop trailer but then the dump bed is rather pointless

The google says 1340 lbs empty. 2,250 lb payload.

m100 is 565 lbs, and carries 500 lbs (AND FLOATS!)

Yup a bit of history for you

Back in Korea war (last war that used the m100) and Vietnam (they used the m416 from what I have read) soldiers would use these trailers as boats to fish out of during down time and when soldiers were going to come back to the states a lot of the trailers got left or sunk

It comes down to the right price and if you would ever put it to use.

Throw in some good soil make a planter.

If you’re looking at the demilitarization sticker all surplus govt. equipment has, the price you see is the original price the military paid for it.

I don’t think that’s what it’s worth now. I see them sell for way cheaper.
