    Just a suggestion: hang a bell on a rope at the door you take the pup out through to go to the bathroom. Every time you take the dog out to “go”, touch the dogs nose to the bell making it ring. You must do it every single time. In about a month, the pup will associate ringing the bell with going outside to “go”. Ours now rings when it’s ‘time’ to go. Next suggestion is to softly repeat whatever word you want (ours is piddles) as they are looking and going. When done, tons of praise. It’ll help in the winter when you want the pup to go so that you can get back inside.
