2017 Tacoma dying at 177k miles

Lol i knew someone was going to mention that. Yeah I change at every 10k if I can, and always use Castrol. Also getting ready here today to install my oil filter relocation so I can use a spin on filter finally. I hate the cartridges.

How deep have u looked into the timing cover leak? A lot are misdiagnosed as a ps pump leak.

 

Well I went and purchased Baxter performances spin on filter adapter then changed my mind and decided on their multi port re route setup to and inverted spin on oil filter. So that way i don't have to remove my skid plate to do an oil change and I can use a larger spin on oil filter mounted anywhere I want. They make some top notch products. But they also make just the adaptor for our trucks so you can use a spin on filter and not re route anything if you like that option too.

Well im losing power steering fluid so thats my sign. But I haven't had the time to look any further and I finally got it scrubbed and cleaned under there yesterday so I can hopefully tell where it's coming from. It made one hell of a mess underneath.

BMW actually dropped the OCI down from 15k to ~10k in either 2016 or 2017. They were having lots of issues with the n-series motors.
