I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on which flowmaster muffler sounded the best. As far as the best i mean which one has the deepest truck sound. Also does anyone know what size i would need to get to fit on my 02 prerunner 3.4L v6. Thanks

your best bet is probably gonna be the 40 series or even the delta flow 40, mostly all the same, but the delta flow will be a bit quieter. they sound awesome too. i was gonna go with flowmaster again,as i always have(love the deep rumble), but i got a deal on the dynomax super turbo, so i couldnt refuse. it sounds great, makes acceleration a bit crisper, and mileage is a bit better with it.

sizewise.......2.5 inch in/out is fine, and an offset in/center out will work fine.:)

I have a flowmaster 40 series on mine and its doesnt sound like I thought it would lol

I wanted it to sound like a muscle car but if you dont have a v-8 then they wont sound like a v-8. When i first put my flow 40 on i had a turn down and idk how to describe the sound it was loud but kinda sounded like a real deep rice rocket. But then I started commuting about 60 miles a day so I put my tail pipe back on and it sounds alot better now.

But hey you will never know if you will like it or not til you do it so get one put on lol

Im running a 50 series, sounds pretty beefy. U got it dumped right before the axle.
Try flowmastes web site, you can hear all the different sounds.

flowmaster 50 series 3 chamber sound a bit more aggresive than the trd exhaust but not too annoying,,, just right

I was wondering if anyone here could tell me which exhaust would sound the best on an 04 taco trd 3.4L with the only engine mod being a k&n cold air intake?

I'm new to the forum but not to Toyotas or Tacomas. Ill put some pics up in the next day or two.

    Thanks for any input..

    Andrew.

depends on the sound you are going for really. the flowmaster 40 sounds pretty good on the 3.4 v6, and i have a dynomax super turbo muffler with the deck plate mod done on the air box and it sounds pretty damn good to me.

I have a 40 series delta flow with a 4-banger. Not as throaty as a 6 or 8cyl obviously, but its not ricing either. I used to have it dump out above the rear axle but i threw the stock tailpipe back on and it sounds fine now.

plus, with the flowmaster and deckplate mod, the ehgine definitely breathes much easier so im getting good power for a 4cyl w/ 32s.
