TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Down East Offroad is setting up a new 3rd gen S/C but also is looking into better cooking e fan setups. The guy working on this worked on cooking the C7 ( I think) vette. I pinged him about a setup for 2nd gens along with 3rd gens. his goal is for it to be drop in work controller and OEM like setup etc..

*HPS Lower Radiator Hose UPDATE*

Alright, spoke with Gerald, from HPS, to set up a time when I can drop off my vehicle for a test fit on the hose. But, unfortunately, I'm heading out on deployment this week and can't make it. To expedite the process, I am looking for a volunteer in SoCAL, who can come down to HPS for a test fit. I am not sure how long he would need the truck for. Additionally, you would probably need to bring more coolant and tools to install the new hose. PM me if interested. Thanks guys! Let's get this going!!!!

It's a bit dated, but the most exhaustive oil filter comparison I recall seeing is here. Its conclusion was that the

$55 Toyota 90915-YZZD3 Oil Filter 1 Case (QTY 10)

Toyota 90915-YZZD3 is the best for our trucks. The specs you cite indicate the FRPP offers about 10% more filtering surface area and 10 years have passed since that comparison was done, so it's possible you've found something better.

I wonder if it has one of those anti-drain back valves in it. That is the main reason i've been sticking with toyota filters on my 4.0, but more filter media does sound nice

Anyone ever get an airbag light on and a code B1811? Code reader says it's an open in the D Squib Side circuit. I've been looking on line and it looks like the clock spring/spiral cable may be the issue, but i want to be sure before i start replacing things. Any info would be appreciated! This is on an 07 FJ cruiser for reference

 

Been there. Yes, probably the clock spring. Not a hard change out. Let me know if you need some info, I think I have a video link around here some wheres.
