Your honor went out the door long ago with your virginity under the school bleachers with little Becky Schumaker.

Unless there's a softopper specific one I didn't click on I'm not sure how that could be true. I like Randy's design because I think I could store rod holders in them as well. Gotta use up every square inch in an SB.

I know, I just like messing with Matt. It keeps his mind sharp. He gets complacent if not.

One perk of mine is I can totally remove the ST without removing the jack. Something to think about as well.

Let the bedliner dry overnight and got them mounted. Usually on a small project like this, there’s something I want to change. Not on these, I’m pretty fuckin stoked with how they came out.

I did add some electrical tape on the bottom leg to prevent chafing of the bed.

One of my next project is to get rid of those stupid cubbies over the wheel well. They hold nothing and just rattle around. I'm going to take a sheet of ABS and just rivet it over the hole. You can see in the pic above how unsecure they are.

You and me both brother. That's part of why I haven't bought any bed stiffeners. I can make one for like $2 in material plus a few bolts.

These are giving me an idea on how to make the interior cap rack system I want to build even better.

Right!? Don't get me wrong, I don't knock people for buying shit. I'm only that way about stuff that's within my skill set. The 3D printed console insert wireless phone charger I just bought from a dude on here? Get fucked, I can't make that and have no desire to do so.

My caveat to that is cost vs time. Occasionally I'll buy something I know I could build myself simply because the time it would take isn't worth it. Like spindle gussets, a prime example. Could I make my own? Sure, but $80 for something that's proven and fits perfectly, sign me up.

I'm learning that now with a kid. It's hard to pay people to do things that I can do, but at a certain point, it's worth it just to get it off of the to-do list.

Exactly, time and mental energy is worth it sometimes. It can be addicting though. Paying the lawn company was a breath of fresh air, so now I'm like "Oh shit what else can I pay people to do?! Free up time to work on my truck."
