I would keep the hybrid bumper and winch that's a big plus. And the work involved to install it is already done. But that just me

I got another question, this time regarding the lift. I don't know much about them. I was told it has a 3" lift, but that's it. Is it possible to tell from this photo what type of lift it has? A suspension? Spacers?

Stock. Looking for suggestions of best mods.
Nice! If you get it, I’m in the market for a winch (wench already onboard) and will happily trade you my stock bumper. It looks like our trucks are the same color.

Congrats! Hard to tell, but from the pictures it looks like the front has a spacer lift. You'd really need closer up pictures to be sure.

Not sure where you're located but I've got a stock 2012 front bumper near Ann Arbor, MI that I would happily trade + cash for your cut bumper and winch setup! It's black so it would need paint matched.

As soon as I read "ATV winch" I thought "Oh God not again". Thankfully I finished the entire sentence lol

    No.

Nice looking truck. I do see stickers on the frame, meaning it's either new, or it's never lived in salt country. That's a good thing.

Buying a used truck that was modified for off road use means it was probably beat on pretty hard - usually it isn't recommended to buy modified vehicles if you aren't looking at off roading.

My truck has lived it's entire life in NJ until I bought it and took it to NY, both places that use heavy salt. My stickers look pristine, though in it's service history it doesn't mention a frame recall. Is it possible they just didn't record it?

Spacers in the front. Rear is very likely lift blocks in that case. Truck looks pretty tidy, so it's been loved by someone.

Keep in mind that removing that winch may require some adjustments to the front or rear lift height to compensate for the loss of winch weight.

Usually Id agree, but this truck looks like someone added it for marginal utility. The rest of the truck looks too clean to be a offroad beater. Usually the back corner of lower front valence where it meets the front fenders will start to gap from the tires rubbing if you stuff them even semi-often.

I can attest that the US Offroad insert is plenty beefy. Yanked this angry little fella out of the sand multiple times without a fuss.

For reference, it's gonna be ~140 pounds. About 80 for the winch with synth line and 62 for the bumper insert.

That truck sure looks suspiciously clean for a late 2nd gen. Clean frame with sticker and not even a rock chip on the plastic front bumper cover. OP, how many miles does this tacoma have? Look for any repaint of truck and undercarriage.

Wont work on your truck. It's the 12-15 front end and you have a 05-11 style front. It'll bolt up fine, but neither of you will have the correctly fitting pieces so the bodywork will be all wonky
