    Hi everyone,

For someone who doesn't do off road road trails aside from occasional dirt roads that don't require offroad suspension but that is 98%.of the time on asphalt aside from bad weather and deep snow driving if one went with bigger better all terrain tires for better ground clearance and a minor lift no more than 2.5" would one be better off going with a trd sport or trd offroad as either way I would do the tires an minor lift regardless

Does a locking rear diff and the crawl control and multi terrain option the trd.off road.comeswith make that big of a difference or would I be better off going the sport route and doing some more custom mods over time?
    Thanks all

Good questions since not all trans' are in specific trims and cabs. They drive a lot of mt in those said countries.

I like the off-road sport. Seems better. Also, get a soft topper.

I would recommend Off road in case u want to do off roading eventually .better to have stuff then not having then needing .manual transmission no bitching about my transmission is hunting gears or my truck almost killed me because it wouldn’t go anywhere . Manual.. clutch in gear and go . All the auto guys will probably start a war with me how superior the auto is and no issues . Whatever u pick u can’t go wrong it’s a Tacoma best of luck .

    It's a secret
Best trim option would be the Sport-Road or Off-Sport.

I think the very best one would be TRD Pro-sport-road

Either - or. Their is not much of a difference. If you want a double cab, get the long bed. The only issue is that long beds seem to be in short supply at the moment.

Why not go with an sr5 then? Could still upgrade everything and save some money.

Comes down to this for the sport vs Offroad in my book.

You're either paying for a scoop, or you're paying for a locker. Same price.

Honestly, if I could have got an OR acces cab MT in the US I would be in the marketplace trading for a scooped hood. Everyone gets the scoop sooner or later.
