The inside fin to fin is 18” but if you add the outter lip it’s closer to 19”

I picked up up off a 18’ Camaro. Not sure what GM part # is, haven’t looked into it. Just waiting on the OE controller module. Are you running it in tandem with the lingenfelter VSFM?

Its not required with the vsfm module. Spal even says to wire direct to battery with inline fuse.

Called my dealer as I am having this issue. They immediately scheduled me for the supplemental fan upgrade for A/C cooling issues. No questions. It has been high 90’s here in Colorado and when at a stoplight I put it in neutral to get a few more Rpm and it helps slightly. But looking forward to the fix.

Just curious what you’d do to modify the oem fan?

One trick the corvette team also uses is changing the coolant ratio. Going to a 60% water 40% antifreeze can help alot gpf those in warmer climates. 100% water is the best thermal transfer. But high risk of freezing.

Does this mod also stop the incredibly loud startup fan noise Toyota trucks are known for?

I’d almost buy it just for that :anonymous:

Toyota/Aisin actually sell a "Tropical Spec" Coolant for hot climate markets... 80/20 mix. Not that we can't mix/make it ourselves.... 60/40 or 70/30 is a nice go to ratio.

I'm also running a Flexalite dual electric fan set up with dual 12" 10 blade fans and is part #680 and designed for 1999 - 04 Toyota Tacoma's

Works very well in my Camaro with a 600 hp 427sbc and keeping temps at just under 195°

So yes , I'm running a Toyota part on my Chevy

80/20 might be a bit aggressive if you live where it can get below freezing. thats for like africa and central america. but 70/30 is good for like out west and texas and stuff. 60/40 is a nice bump for help while remaining very safe
