Got my other LED lights into today to replace the High beam portion. Again goal was better visibility for the very dark nights here in Northern Thailand. I have to watch out for Elephants ya know ( That is no joke :) )

Mission was to stay as close to 6000k Color point for all lights. My Piaa HID lights are 6000k.

Lights as received. Philips puts those big heat sinks on the back and I checked after running for awhile and those get quite hot. I like the additional cord length. Makes for easy installation.

Factory HID and the Yellow halogen high beam. Honestly when I hit high beam before I noticed virtually nothing.

Philips LED lights in and all lights on. Will do a test run tonight. I didn't do a bunch of before and after light tests and its clear the lighting will be significantly brighter

Dani II got new kicks. Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70/17 w/TRD Pro matte black, Black Gorilla MagNuts. Ride is nice. Minimal road noise increase from the factory TOYO tires. Stock Sport suspension. Did have a bit of rub when turning sharp. Nothing a heat gun couldn’t fix. Now if I could just get my Leer 100xr installed!

I’m kind of in between. I don’t mind chrome in the interior of a car as much as the exterior. I think chrome looks best on older luxury cars like Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc. And older muscle/classic cars.

I’m kind of the same mind set. Chrome is nice when it’s done right. The issue I had with the Tacoma is it seemed like an after thought. There wasn’t any real forethought to it. Almost like they just had spare chrome parts lying around that they had to use. If both bumpers were chrome, that would be alright, but the rear only? Looks out of place. If the interior accents were more thought out to include the chrome, that would be alright, but putting it on the 4X4 switch right next to the climate control switches without chrome? Looks out of place again.

So I got a Meso minimalist key fob in the mail yesterday. I got a video coming later for my YouTube account.
I think it matches the inferno pretty well.

My apologies if its been asked/answered already. I'm going through two weeks of awesome posts... Do you have a write up for this, and if something is plugged in overnight, think it could drain and kill a stock battery?
Sorry for any ignorance, I've just been seeing and juggling this idea for a while.

Normally I like a chrome front and rear bumper on pickups, but the Tacoma just doesn't look right like that.

    this and that...
not taco specific per se, more like garage upkeep; i did use the taco as transport though :rain:. i been waiting for the arcan special to come back to costco for a hot minute and for one reason or another just never seems in stock. ended up going with carlyle since napa was running a pretty good deal. shoot, to me this is luxury right here. the jack i got now is some ancient 3ton craftsman jack; back when craftsman was still you know...craftsman LOL. and no we dont have harbor freight locally.

    Here's the thread on it:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-ac-outlet-in-cab-and-400w-anytime.505598/

As for killing the battery, guess it depends on what you plug in? A fridge, maybe, but don't know since I've not tried it. Anything short of that, I doubt it. I've run anything from charging laptops overnight to up to 4 heated glove / vest battery packs, and have never had an issue.

With this mod, the inverter is only going to power up when the truck is on, so that won't kill anything. What this gives you there is the capability of 400w no matter if truck is on and in park, or in drive, and ability to easily add an in cab 120v outlet.

Although, I had an aftermarket fan cooled inverter in my gen1, and could run that for hours without killing the battery. Even to charge other auto sized batteries. One of my uses of that inverter was to daily or every other day charge the battery for the camper (for lights and furnace fan use in the camper). I'd take the depleted battery, hook it up to a 12v charger plugged into the inverter, and leave it there for a day or so as I drove around or even got out and hunted for a few hours. Never killed the truck battery. But I never let it run and charge overnight either.
