    Ahh. That post. I saw that one a while ago, you know, a small part of me thinks the RIPPs may not be necessary if you are running the Rutheniums because any MPG gains which may be had with the RIPPs have shown me none have been obtained by the "hotter" coils.

    I almost am going to venture out on a limb here and say this: If you run Iridiums and have no intention on switching out to Rutheniums then it may be a worthwhile mod to you. If you do plan on switching to Rutheniums then the mod may not be worth the money and energy invested required to do the swap over.

    As of right now I am on track to making a never before tracked (via odometer trip meter) 255 miles to the tank. I am currently sitting at 210 miles right at 1/4 tank. I am anxious to see what my max range will be before I consume 17.4 gallons (when the low fuel light comes on for our trucks) I'll report back what my final range is when I get there which should be in the next day or two at most.

    How much money are we willing to spend chasing MPG improvements in a supercharged pickup, and will we ever get it back?

    I swear everything I've done to my truck has slaughtered my mileage.

    Bone stock, living at high altitude and running non-ethanol gas: 19-20mpg
    California sea level crummy gas on 31.5" tires: 17
    Added Relentless aluminum front bumper: 16-ish
    Supercharged: 15.5

    I think my all metal hybrid bumper along with the 140+ lbs of skids has killed my mileage.

    At this point the mileage increase is a perk. We aren't doing the mods for mileage though, the mileage is secondary the power gains is what we are still after. However small they may be.
