yea it’s getting cold quickly here. They will have salt and gravel on the roads before you know it. But I did regret selling my 636. I went to a gsxr 750 and it had poor throttle response felt a little cheap, instantly had sellers remorse.

 

I might actually take that into consideration. A second, 365 daily is the priority now should the truck need to be down for an extended period of time. Actually, it would be nice, if feasible, to have the new daily capable of towing Caitlyn if necessary. Just trying to think ahead...

 

I had a 636 for a bit. Then I got a reckless driving on it and went to jail for 3 days and haven't been back on a crotch rocket since. I can't trust myself with fast things.

It's definitely tempting sometimes..I am trying not to let it get to THAT point. But, I will admit, the chicks dig it...

 

I just haaaaad to see what 150mph felt like on a bridge with it's own police force (I didn't know that at the time). It's just too damn easy. The guy I bought it from had it set up for the track so the front end was dropped 2" and it had a tuner on it, among other things. They had it on the dyno at 128 RWHP, which is just silly.

 

I have flirted with the triple digits myself. It's definitely fun and cool, but it's easy to get spicy with it...especially a street bike.

 

This was my old bae. How I miss this girl. I used to take a walk around video of all the motorcycles I sold (had a couple of dirt bikes) which is why the vid exists. My favorite was the exhaust on it, ooooooo did it sound nasty.

Interesting. In my VERY, VERY limited research, I have not heard that at all. Again, limited research...




So, I have the top sheet of plywood for the work table and I was thinking about adding something to the top of the plywood to protect it from the use and abuse it will potentially see. I know it is "just a worktable" but it would be nice to have some protection, regardless.

I was thinking about skate ramp "armor", however, it can be expensive. I have two quotes out to companies to see if they can cut and ship me a custom size. For example, a 4'x8' sheet is $157 without shipping.

Does anyone have any other recommendations?

 

Have you considered the brown wall board sold in the big box stores? Its not very thick, but you could put that over plywood and replace it when needed. I've used it and its held up well on a couple of projects. I think the last 4' x 4' that I got (and was all that I needed) was under $20... If not, you could also look at Grizzly Tools, they sell a hardwood (Beach or Maple) for about $150 and will stand up to just about anything....

sheet metal? Just screw it in in a few places. Replace as necessary. If you go to a metal supplier and buy a full 4’x8’ sheet, it won’t be much. My sheet of 1/8” was $100 locally and you could get something thinner (I was thinking 14 gauge) for much cheaper.

Edit: or just another piece of plywood Screwed on top. Replace as needed when it gets beat up.

Got the worktable finished and the workshop project started. Got the RTT out and started cleaning out the workshop. Hopefully the last time it looks like this. Lots to go through, organize and even sell.



Haven't had the workshop workbench folded down since moving in....



What a fucking mess..



Of course, I had to add a bottle opener..and shout-out to my mom for the idea to add my outlets to the front of the bench...love it!



Had some time this weekend to get some landscaping done. First on the list was this nightmare that SOMEONE insisted on doing themselves...



Had to go...some greenery will eventually happen.



Finished up the front (for now; more landscaping to come) with the help of my mom..
