    Thats another story lol
You can add a Lubeguard supplement when you are doing a transmission service using WS .
For the A750E series transmission , the Platinum supplement works best
    https://www.lubegard.com/products/platinum/

For the A340 series transmission , we prefer the red

Check out the maintenance sticky, @gearcruncher recommendeds not mixing fluids. Do a full flush if you change

Unfortunately (without research) a full flush seems out of the realm of possibility for me to diy right

i dont believe if i were to visit scrutinize every Toyota dealer

they ALL have the same service components outlined in owners manuals

some multiline dealers would have to have dozens o barrels/pumps for each marque

while there is a remote possibity this might be true.................... i dont think so

I beleive he is saying that WS is just as good as a fully synthetic fluid as per the OP,s question

In my opinion , WS is old technology that was designed in 2003 .
Its 2020 gentlemen . There are far superior fluids available to the genral public now that can enhance the longevity of your transmission

I am not getting into a fluid debate . Its a waste of time .
I am not basing my opinion on 1 truck guys .
I am basing my opinion on the many Tacomas I have serviced in the shop over the years that use WS fluid .

When it comes to transmissions, I only use OEM fluids. Stick to WS and you won't go wrong. Just because someone says something else is better, doesn't mean that you have to blindly follow their advise. These transmissions were designed to use WS fluid. I think you'll be safe by using what doctor prescribed.

Ahh sorry bout that . This thread is in the 3rd gen section .
The lubeguard Platinum also works fantastic with the AC60 series transmissions .
I highly recommend dumping a bottle in during your next service .
Keep in mind that this stuff was not available to the general public a few yeasrs ago . You could only purchase it through transmission shops and dealerships .
    An example https://www.amazon.com/Lubegard-630...97&sprefix=lubeguard+platinum+,aps,178&sr=8-1

It’s so confusing on which atf to use on the 3rd gen Tacoma’s stay with ws or go with another atf that’s less expensive and supposed to be better

i plan on using amsoil atf on my first transmission fluid change. it was like magic in my old 2002 ford escape with 150k of very abusive miles (bought it used).

My buddy says not to use the amsoil atf...it doesn't work well in a lot of foreign vehicle transmissions causing all sorts of issues. Told me to stick with the manufactures atf.

that's the exact opposite of my experience. amsoil has been great in the trannys I've used it in.
