Long Travel BS Thread

Anyone know what race mile Ivan rolled? I was chasing another team. We had passed up a pit by a couple miles so we turned around. Heading back to the planned pit area we pass Ivan on the road. There were a few highway sections. We were like, there goes Ivan. Haha.

It's a nice idea, but I don't think you know what you are getting yourself into. Goodluck though.

 

I'd like to see a kit built with the uni balls horizontal. You will have to make a custom spindle to do this though.

 

lol ive seen 1 and it wasnt pretty.

 

I know, But he wanted input so I thought I'd tell him something I'd like to see lol No one makes a kit like that for tacos. I'f I had the time and the knowledge of Auto Cad I'd design one myself and ditch my TC kit.

 

what do you all use for cad software, soildworks or pro engineering ect?

 

not really sure what DB is but if its Drop Bracket, i dont have one

i know its going to be a lot of work and there's no way i could do it by myself, thats why i've got engineers behind me that know what they are doing, he's already showed me examples that he's drawn up on cad and other programs where he can actually cycle the suspension up and down to see what effects what. once we've got it perfected on the computer we can cut it out and build it, and then the testing begins.

i'd like to do the horizontal uniballs and i think its a good idea, only problem is in the long run it's going to raise the cost of the kit by a lot and right now i'm going for performance with affordability, its not going to be weak or anything but i think the vertical uniballs on both will probably be sufficient and be cheaper overall.

 

I think JSI makes ones for our Tacomas.

messed with my compresion tubes today on my bypasses. truck rides so much better on the road. still need to hit up some dirt though...

No one has brought him a truck to use to get measurements to build a kit. If I didn't have a kit already I would buy one from them any day. They have such a good rep that I could buy knowing it would be good work.
