So I changed the bushings and still it wasn't shifting right. So I lean over and touch my clutch pedal, and I notice it wasn't returning to place when I'd push it down. So I adjusted it and lo and behold it feels BRAND NEW, I can shift with half clutch engaged!! Smh, it's the little things huh lol. Hey at least I've got a OEM bushing that should last another 200k lol

So I recently went in to ground my head units wire to the radio ground wire in order to get android auto to work. It worked, but this morning I decided to take the truck out for a spin and my turn signals don't work! I checked all the fuses with a fuse tester and everything there is fine. My hazard lights still work, but I've been reading online that could have something to do with it? Yall know what I effed up?

My buddy has a 99 4runner he's parting out. I went ahead and bought his side mirrors today. I got to thinking about his bucket seats. I don't like my bench seat cuz I don't have a center console or cup holders. He said he'd give me the seats and center console for 100 bucks, I can't pass up that deal. I've researched a lot and I see that there's one hole that doesn't line up and I'll have to drill a new one. But will the center console fit? Anyone done this before?

I’m sure someone’s done the console - if you take the mounting bracket you’ll be able to figure something out with rivnuts in the floor if it’s not a straight fit. As far as the side view mirrors you’ll have to trim off a nub that doesn’t have a hole to go in on your doors.

Yea I noticed that nub when I took the mirrors off, strange little thing. As for the console I guess I'll have to figure it out when I take the bench seat out. Apparently after researching here, one of our members @nzbrock made some brackets to fit 3rd gen seats into our Tacos... you still making them man? Lol.

Yes I'm still making them, just had too many things going on recently. I just need to spend some time on the waterjet. I'll add you to the list here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/4runner-seat-adapters.622390/

I put a 4runner console in my truck with 4runner seats. Mine was a pretty custom setup though.

All seat mounting holes are the same in all Tacoma’s - you’ll need to modify one of the 4 mounts per seat if you want to put 4runner seats in them.

If Toyota kept the floor the same in 3rd gen 4runners as they did in 1st gen Tacomas then any year 96-02, but I'm no expert.

I have heard that there are earlier year 96-97ish 4runners that still used 2nd gen 4runner seats. As long as the seats have the larger side bolsters and are from 96-02, they will fit with the exception of that 3rd hole. You also have to bend the outer front foot about 45 degrees with a big hammer.

Scored some bucket seats out of a wrecked 01! Also found a 3rd gen 4runner centerconsole. @nzbrock I appreciate it, you can take me off the waiting list.

Decided to put the 3rd gen 4runner mirrors on today. Instead of drilling a hole for the little knob with the screw, I just sawed it off. They fit nice and snug. The vision difference is AMAZING!! Everyone should do this if you haven't already!!20200927_153616.jpg 20200927_153633.jpg 20200927_182141.jpg 20200927_182149.jpg 20200927_182156.jpg
