    Gettingggg a bit frustrated.

    2012 Base, 4wd, 4.0L

Originally was going to do OEM inner (doing OEM outers) price was higher than I liked, said screw it. Planned on grabbing proforged as that is who I got my links from. Problem is the part numbers have me beyond confused and I am on overload.

Anyone got the part number for these? The ones I am seeing are 104-10564 but dunno if thats right. There is also a . If not do you guys know what the MOOG inner tie rod part number is for my model, I am not gonna get it but can cross reference the part that way as well.

Proforged also has a 104-10892 inner. Only difference in reality seems to be length. They are both listed as "RWD" parts... BUT 564 is listed as X-Runner/Base and 892 is listed as pre-runner.... HELP lol

Toyotas terminology is confusing. 5-lug can be referred to as RWD/Base, but in a technical sense, Prerunners are RWD too even though it's a completely different truck.

Looking at their product page, it appears you want 104-10892. This cross references with the Moog part number.

This is on the proforged page.

When you look that up on the moog page, you find this.

Also the confusion comes from the fact that on RockAuto the 564 does NOT match the oem part numbers... But could be an error.

BUT... heres the BUT... on ProForged website the 892 matches the MOOG EV800529 ... which I am 99% is the correct MOOG inner and that part (EV800529) mathces the OEM part number on the cross reference.

So 564 is supposed to be the "base" but doesn't seem to match part number wise. And 892 is supposedly the one that matches by part number... but is the "prerunner" version.... ??? Tf. Lol

And ofc the 892 has no OEM numbers for reference on rock auto. But the dealership part number is supposed to be 4550309550.

Mostly the conclusion I am coming to as well. But wanted to double check. Rock Auto is out of the 892 sadly :(

264 for the set from the dealership, shit hurts. Lol don't wanna cheap on it though. This has been the fussiest part source I have done in a while.

The x-runner is it's own beast. It's on a 5-lug chassis but with a V6 engine. So it makes sense that the tie rods from that won't match up with your truck.

It seems that proforge use of "base" means 5-lug here.

Prerunner and 4x4 share the same frame and 99% of their parts which is why the part is advertised that way.

Why wouldn't you just order the moog parts and be done with it?

I replace all of my chassis stuff with moog. My company sells moog and we have most customers ask for it by name. Competitors that discontinue moog often result in their customers calling us for it. I wouldn't believe everything you read. Moog is very good quality.

I get it from work. But RockAuto is probably going to be cheapest for you.
