I think the air dam looks a bit odd on stock trucks because it hangs down lower than the rest of the bottom. But, I think it looks ok if you have step bars of some kind so that it flows into them better, from an aesthetic view anyway.

I had one on my Sport of course, so I was used to it and kind of miss it now on my Off-Road. Also, I've heard not only the MPG argument but also that it can help with stability especially when towing. So I might try to find someone who ripped it off and just wants to get rid of it and then put it on my OR to test it out.

I got the carpets cleaned yesterday!
Well, everything except for the stairs. When I went to use the upholstery attachment for the stairs, the fitting wouldn't fit. So I finished up everything else and headed back to Home Depot with the attachment to get the right one. I spent more than a half an hour with a manager trying to come up with a solution. After he made a phone call, we found out that they don't have the correct attachment and they won't be in stock for a few months. We found an upholstery machine so I could finish the job, but he told me I couldn't take it until I brought back the other machine. WTF??!!?? So I ran home to get the machine and just return it for a refund. Running back and forth I was quickly out of time to complete the project anyway. When I returned (Now my 3rd trip), there were no managers available. An employee apologized and told me I could take the machine and we would work it out the next day. I told him I just wanted a refund at this point. He said they weren't authorized to do that and would need to get a manager. "Ok, please get a manager then." Another 20 minutes later, "both of the managers are out to lunch, but we can just refund the rental." Again, WTF??!!?? Got my money back, but I will never get my time back, and I value that a lot more than the $30 rental. I will NEVER use Home Depot for anything again. Rant over!

How is this Tacoma related? Well, my deal with my wife was that I could get a scooped hood if I cleaned the carpets. I wanted to get that done before it was delivered. I guess I'll have to find another day to do the stairs before I install it. :/

 

I recently got my pressurized water tank/sprayer in service. It’s made from 6” PVC and a garden sprayer hand pump. It holds about 4 gallons and pressurized to 20 psi. I’ve tested it up to 30 but get scared after that. So far it’s working much better than I expected, it sprays much longer than I thought it would. I still need to work out it’s mounting but a few straps seems to be a good temporary mount.

 

This is awesome! Do you have a write up with parts? I've seen a few of these home made ones and I like smaller size of this one.

This is what happens when you sit on the beach for two weeks drinking. I went shopping. And here I thought I was done. Still need to run the electrical but that’s no biggie. I mean gotta have all these lights for my 16 mile round trip to work and back!
