So my brother and I both have 2019's and he's having power issues off road that I don't and I can't seem to figure out why. I can creep up hills in 2wd with minimal slippage or crawl through washouts in 2 or 4wd and have no issue. When he tries the same thing he can have his foot mashed on the floor and gets nothing. 2/4h/4l doesn't matter. What is his truck sensing or what input is his truck missing to cut all power?

Truck shouldn't cut power in 4LO. Both offroad trim? Do you understand TRAC, ATRAC, MTS, autoLSD, and VSC?

Slip wheels in certain modes, enjoy engine cut. Traction and traction aids matter.

Same model both off road trim. Same size tires essentially. I do understand the different modes that's why I don't understand how it's cutting power in certain situations and mine is just fine.

Typically you need to keep it in S3 to not cut power.

I can leave mine in auto or select any "s" mode gear I want while he can choose any gear with the same issue.

It took me a few shakedowns of using the crap out of all the systems and figuring it all out.

Example: on road I just switch to 4WD

Offroad-4 hi WHILE STOPPED and a long hold of VSC off to turn off trac.

4 low automatically turns these off.

S2 or 3 is where my trans lives. Unless downhill then s1 it is.

Locker is used in 4low I try to engage it before I actually need it (can take 1/4 turn of tires to activate sometimes) and MTS is just a selectable version of ATRAC

I will cycle back and forth personally sometimes to just feel the terrain or change it up some

Stupid question - have you ever tried switching trucks? Has his truck ever cut power while you drove, or has your truck ever cut power while he drove?

I understand that and I've seen the chart posted above before. I'm just not following why one truck can be fine and his is a lame duck in the same situation.

He has drove mine and has had no issues I plan to drive his in the next day or two when our schedules line up.

If you can replicate (and document) that two drivers have a problem with one truck and not another, and both trucks are identically equipped, then that could be a solid case to get it investigated under warranty. Might be a weird firmware glitch, which is a tough thing to diagnose, and even tougher to repair.

He has inquired about it once before when he had some warranty work done on a driver front wheel sensor and they gave him the "that's how it's supposed to work" run around. That's another reason we're trying to figure out what's going on.

Have you tried doing the same thing but in his truck? Trying to rule out human error as well.

So last night I was able to drive his truck just outside of town. I probably didn't need to go that far. This thing will lock up the brakes going through a gutter if it flexes at all. Used all the modes to make sure the computer shouldn't be helping at all. The only thing I noticed when it was stopping you dead in it's tracks was the pitch and roll gauge was freaking out like it didn't know where it was at. I took a video and I'll see if I can post it up. Anybody know where this sensor is or where it gets it's readings?

Anybody know how to reset the VSC on a 19? I've read something about a zero point reset but it was in relation to second generation.

I think OBD pinout is a standard?
