it does make a big difference, at least over here in MT land, and looks like ATs are having a similar experience.

Yes you can. First download the VFTuner software and load it. This will give you vf flash 1.3.2. Use this to flash vft files. Easy Peasy.
It’s mid way down the home page, orange download button.

If you have the dongleless flash kit, its only $79 to upgrade to vF.

@OVTune Is the file you show a modified file because it's different than mine specifically in the 51.199 vehicle speed from 18% throttle angle up area. That middle part has a spike whereas mine is flat with everything else around it. Is that where we should focus raising limits or is it the whole map in general (and in that case why is my map different than yours)?

So i plugged your values for all gears, plus made the linear throttle request to airload.
I have not able to match throttle position to accelerator. Always 10 or more points difference at loads above 50%.
How does your airload contol table look like?
    Thanks.

I didn't notice a surge with my custom tune. I know what you're talking about since it's been there in all the previous tunes (1.05+ is when I came into it) - it's like the hamsters really wake up around the 3500rpm mark and get some meaningful grip on the wheel. When I floored it from a rolling start, and even a mock "passing a car" kind of acceleration test, I didn't notice that surge. The only thing I noticed, aside from how it pulled quickly and smoothly, was a smile on my face with how well the truck was getting up and going.

that's good. because the ACIS activating lower in rpms (at least in the MTs) brings much of that power surge down into the lower range, and smoothly. i wonder if the ATs can tolerate lowering it further, but if you're having no weirdness, driveability, or surge complaints then just game on.

I’d like to see dyno comparisons with ACIS lowered. I wonder if you are trading power for smoothness.

so, after i wrote that, i realized that it's probably not going to be just as simple as changing these two ACIS values and getting a clean benefit. nothing is direct and simple here as we can all see. but i am saying that getting ACIS activated properly like Mat did in MTs 2.0 has been a huge change and benefit. more questions as to how..

2.0 on AT's has massive amounts of surging... @Mooseditty17 had it right, drove like a 85cc two stroke. Seemed like zero (albeit very jerky) power until 4000rpms and then it was all at once. I'm running his newest "performance" tune now and it is MUCH better, the power curve is much smoother and there's very little "jerkiness" in sub 4000rpm power delivery. But the truck still surges at 3500ish rpms.

They would still need to buy the key to be able to use it, no?

    Throttlelimited.jpg

My throttle seems to be limited by rpm.

You can see that i have plenty of attempts to get full throttle , looking at the 800 to 900 range, this was 4th gear full throttle, only reached about 45

At 1200 i had a full throttle run in first and it reached 60 something but its the highest RPM i got to on this drive.

@OVTune are there any specific things you want in a log to see what is going on? ill be happy to log tomorrow on my 4am drive to work.

Thanks! So, we would expect to see 87.5% on the throttle plate as evidence of full torque?

There is a Data List in my TS V14 download link which includes the PIDs that OVT wanted in the old days. Of course, it logs in TS. Credit @mZiggy !

The new version of FM has all those PIDs ready to go and spits them out in the CSV file. I only tried it once (it might be what your are using?) just to verify that it worked. It was much easier.

It is what im using. It spits out a CSV that you can then open back up in VF and you can cut out unnecessary sections to kind of "blow up" areas if you wish too.

I cant find the PID that shows the actual throttle pedal vs throttle angle.

I found one called relative, that i thought was it, but it was the one showing input even though i wasnt touching the trottle. I tested this by taking off from my house without touching the gas pedal.

I never touched the pedal, but the truck gave a trottle increase command (im assuming as RPM dipped and raised)

No. You can download Vftuner and install it without the key. You just can’t open Vftuner. But you can open vf flash 1.3.2 and use this to flash vft files.
Note- This is ONLY for current OVtune owners who do not have Vftuner.
