Are you using Toyota's recommended 0w-20 and Toyota's Genuine oil filter elements?

My opinion is if you look at that table the numbers are lower until you CTRL+I it. So I think it's hampering/not allowing the throttle to increase as much as you're asking it to do.

Also the pedal is pretty responsive as well. Just a little push when you're already up to speed makes a difference. I had to pay attention because if i gave it too much it would downshift and take off when I wanted just a little more. So there's much more pedal modulation available. Feels way more like a cable I guess is the easiest way to describe it.

Alright. Last question is: Your 1-6 throttle limits. Stock, modified or cranked up?

And is this drivable yet? You mentioned having to use caution with pedal modulation. Are you having to majorly tip toe on the pedal?

I worked hard on my shift points, I don't want to self induced gear hunting via throttle input....

Only 4800 miles on her so still the factory filter and oil. Maybe they put a de-tuned filter element in for break in and I'll get full RPM's after the first oil change :fingerscrossed:

Cranked up like you. I got most of this from you AAMOF.
I'm recording all changes I make in a word file so here's everything on my current tune: Base file is 04B04_Premium_35 + AGM Battery Settings

    Test 2 10/1/20
ACIS Activation RPM High Engine Speed – 3400
Control & Expected Airflow per OVTune - https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/24143210
Accelerator – Acceleration Throttle Request to Airload
    - All but last 2 columns *125
    - Smoothed 450 to 650 only (Ctrl+I)
Throttle Management – Throttle Limit Normal Gear
    - Gears 1-6 (except last 3 values) *125
    - Same for S gears 1-6
Primary Shifting Upshift Schedule 1-5 *115
    Primary Shifting Downshift Schedule 2-3, 3-4, 4-5 *115

    Test 2 Addon 10/3/20
TC 3rd Gear S2 – set all to max
1st Gear Throttle Limit – all to 100
1st Gear Throttle Limit 4 High – all to 100

    Test 2 Addon 10/8/20
TC 4th Gear S2 – set all to max

    Test 3 10/10/20
Acceleration Throttle Request To Airload – CTRL+I / made Linear
Torque Calculated Base to Full Throttle – all to 5000 from 4000

These are all cumulative so "Test 3" has all the above.

I should probably add I'm running 93 premium and my tune is based off of the premium 35 tire tune (even tho I only have 31.6"ers) so mine may be a little more aggressive than yours, depending on what the differences are when Mat made 33 & 35 tire tunes.

    Excellent!
Someone was just asking for a list like this.
I'll give those changes a go. Unfortunately not until later this week though. F****** timing cover gasket!

No not majorly, some though. I think I got used to it pretty quick, but I've driven it less than 100 miles. See you've already done this more than me and you are thinking ahead. Someone else might have to mellow it back down a little, but for me and for now I think it's fine. More miles will tell.

Shit that's right. I hope it's all good when you get it back! After I had them realign it and fixed a rattle or two everything is fine now.

    Good idea.

I don't have an AGM, so I have not attempted any editing there.

@Mooseditty17, good luck with the dealer stop, that sucks. Just loaded in your Perf_9.29 tune. Looking forward to seeing how my Taco responds. Hate that YZ powerband effect, plus my wife goes for the grab handle when I'm passing & it kicks in, looking at me like I did something, keep telling her it's the possessed truck. LOL

I've been following this with a lot of interest. I have 04b31. This list is fantastic, but I never caught if you were modifying the stock file or the 2.0 files. It looks like much of these changes are the same between stock and regular fuel 2.0 for my ECU.
I am just getting started with this. Did the changes to "Acceleration Throttle Request to Airload" seem to give you the aggressive pedal feel? I can just feel this out on my own but I figure a little direction couldn't hurt.

So just raising to 5k this is what I got 82.7 at full throttle. I believe mat said 85 was max correct? I will post my next finding with the air load and expected air load adjusted

vF Tuner and OVTune have to be the most convoluted topics on TW. If someone could help answer these questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

    - What is special about the Tactrix cable vs a USB to OBD2 w/ J2534 interface. Any cheaper alternatives?
    - With vF Tuner and the open source nature of sharing tunes, is it really necessary to buy the $390 Tacoma tune pack? What is the value of that pack, I assume all tunes are at your own risk anyways.
    - This is definitely pushing my comfort zone and I would consider paying someone to do it for me. Is there a list somewhere of vendors that might have purchased the pro version?
    - Is there anyone in the Springfield MO area that has experience with vF Tuner that would be willing to help me out?

Thanks for being the guinea pig this time. I made your changes. I think this will give me the "tip in" that I've been looking for. Unfortunately, my truck is still at the dealership getting the oil leak repaired. And I don't have 2020 tunes unlocked to test my loaner Tacoma with.
