@Mooseditty17 is the latest tune you're working on 87 or a higher octane. Just loaded your Perf_9.29 this morning on my pretty much stock OR auto. If your Beta tune for 1st gear fixes is based off that tune, I'll give it a shot, but can't give feedback till tomorrow, got a local debate to watch shortly

That's interesting... @GPatriot, didn't you say you had to do both, or did you not try it with just raising the 4k to 5k? I know that the throttle to request tables do certainly enhance pedal feel. That is what @OVTune adjusted to make the THX files (enhanced throttle). I was just curious if the adjustments I had in my latest files was going to be enough that I would only have to do the 4K-5K mod. I had my pedal TOO TOUCHY before, and it made shifts feel shitty (to me) and in some situations made the truck jerky because I would move back and forth when the gas was hit, which in turn moved the throttle enough to exacerbate the issue! Kinda funny that it was that sensitive, but honestly no fun to drive.
SO... bottom line, I should get tire shredding first gear POWER, from just raising my 4K values to 5K and not have to mess with WHAT I LIKE for a throttle to Airload request table. THAT'S AWESOME!!! Now only if I could flash it... :frusty:

Well I posted the last two variations a couple days ago. One is a Premium and one is Regular. Otherwise they are the same thing. I'm going to go back and add this 1st gear mod once I can validate it works right in my truck. Unless people just want to try it out anyways.

Edit: I generally don't just add newly discovered things to my already posted tunes. I make updated tunes. Just because I'm not sure how they are going to affect the old tune. Might make it shift different, or the throttle may become wonky.

I'm running the regular because I just filled up with that. I can wait, no pressure, pretty impressed with what you've done already, put about a 100 miles on it, various areas & speeds. Can tell difference from the stock 87 2.0

Might give it a shot but it’s way less sensitive at 1/4 throttle then if you up your air load/request table. The 5k gets you a little more low end.
Also my exhaust sounds a little to crackly for me after the air load adjusted that’s what made me want to look at the afr. Does anyone know how to get the crackle to go away ? Sounds to much like a wound up Honda

The 9.29 tune is more or less the same as the latest tunes I most recently posted. I just spent more time tweaking the shifts and throttle to my likings. I also added Gear Lock. I absolutely fell in love with Gear Lock. (Thanks again for that @ForceOfG) It's not a night and day difference, but a difference none the less. The Premium option was a big deal for some, so I added that as well. This first gear mod is going to be huge is it's half as good as some of the boys are saying. To be able to actually utilize first to it's full potential will wake these little monsters up. I hate the neutered feel of these trucks off the line. Otherwise I think they hold their own rather well.

I agree, we all know we are driving a V6, but it has more to offer that Toyota saw fit to allow it to have.

So far on your tune I was driving thru 20mph residential zones up to 70mph roads, the shift points worked good on mine, plus you smoothed out that YZ like surge at 3500rpm. Very nice

Have you had a chance to log anything? I haven't figured all that out yet but I assume it will show a running tab of A/F. If I can ever get a day to play with my truck I might be able to contribute

so the stock 2018 04A61 Phase Duty 2 Base Voltage 13.6 value is 67.203, which is obviously significantly lower than the 2016-17 models. What have people put for this value when editing for AGM? Did you jump all the way up to 102.296 to match the change from the 97.xxx value in the Phase Duty Base Voltage 13.6 table? or go with a smaller number?

I'm assuming you also left PD1 alone/stock like with our own alternator settings? The 2018 one is like 14.xxx lol

Here are both for comparison. Many are identical, some are close, a couple are far off.
Look at Phase Duty 2 Base 13.6 and Phase Duty 1.

    You rock!!!

I'll try the premium version next week once I get back home from this trip....

How is Gear Lock initiated - via the standard OVTune sequence?
