I believe many have found that their truck won't crawl over a piece of 4x4 lumber placed in front of the tires. More info is in the linked thread.

Just got back from taking the truck to the only area I could think of, and that's a boat ramp off the side of one of the highways out here. Did just fine, even climbing the wall of the road leading to the ramp. Got home and placed a 4x4 post under the tires. 1st attempt was in the slowest speed, made it over just fine. 2nd attempt in the middle (3rd) speed setting and again make it over just fine. No using gas or brakes at all. I see someone has 04B81 from the factory, let me see what my truck has because it has a build date of 8/20. Didn't know it may have already been implemented. I'll report back when I read the ECU as I just received my cable from OVTune today.

    ***Edit #1***
It appears my truck already has 04B81 loaded. Maybe that's the key to crawl control working as it used to?

    ***Edit #2***
    11/22/2020
Just tested against a decent sized curb, crawl control was unable to climb over it without manual acceleration. Without manually accelerating it cancelled crawl control after about 30 seconds.

I just tried using TS, it ask me to update the app to use it. I then turned airplane mode on and tried again...then it says I have like 29 times remaining connecting without an internet connection before it must be registered or something and still wont let me use it....any ideas?

Also, my buddies truck is on 04b02, do I have to update to 04b03 before I can do 04b04?

Completely disregard that comment. We’re updated and he’s loving it

    Sweet!

Sorry about that. Because of that, we just need to shut off wifi to use TS or upgrade to V15. Search out @lapoltba 's or @cameleon50 's V15 posts.

Since we're offline anyway, it is no big deal to kill wifi when connecting.

I'm assuming when updating the ECU that message won't be displayed since you start Techstream through the ECU update file? I used up a few (down to 27 or so) when connecting Techstream to the truck and feeling my way around. Lol

You're finally on the v15 train huh? Come join me and @lapoltba. It's lonely here while everyone else sits on v14 lol

I've never had v15 ask me for updates either, while connected to interwebularz

I have not made the jump yet. Been lazy because I haven't hit a roadblock yet.

I don't mind the MHH thing either. That is just going to be harder to explain to folks. :D

I think it does pop up in a different form when executing the CUW? If so, just flick off the wifi.

Just for clarity and our usage, we do not need an internet connection for anything that we are actively doing with TS.

The online component, TIS, is out there and can be accessed through a browser with a short, paid subscription. $70 for two days?

So, just to make sure I do this right when I flash the 2017 truck update to 04, the instructions for flashing state to have the keys out of the ignition (I have push to start so that would be the equivalent of not pushing the button at all). But when using TS I had to press the push button twice to read my ECU, same for vF. Which state should the truck be in when flashing the TSB update?

Ah, I knew I would follow some prompts but wasn't sure if there was a state I should be in prior to. Thanks for the clarification.

Interesting... Thanks for checking! I guess I see more OV credits and an ECU update in my future.

Thanks to @vikingwill for flashing mine last night. I had 04B12 in and he flashed to 04B14. Seems to have gotten rid of the horrible 2000-2500 rpm stumble!

Do you know if after the 30 offline usages it will stop opening or will it still function fully? I'm down to update to V15 if there is a file and guide for that one ;)

What I am finding is that it gives you 30 offline chances and resets when you try once online? For me, the online thing is usually accidental. Worst case is reinstalling.

@lapoltba and @cameleon50 posted up the V15 info in the TS Tips and Trick thread:
