Computer has been in the shop but last week I installed a BPF front tow point to the truck. Now I can pull people out of the ditch this winter. And the truck needs a wash real bad!

All I know is that it worked. I tested it before reassembling the door. Back underway this morning on the passenger side. Will report back when I finish along with more pics of the tow mirrors in action is anyone cares... I will say the tweeter mod is a gimme in terms of ease, not totally plug and play but certainly cheap and easy if you're not new to working on your taco.

For the sound deadening project, its a PITA. Make sure you clean the inside of the door before you start. Mine was all dusty and I was concerned about adhesion.

I'm looking for a pair of used 5100's, I'll need them shipped, PayPal friends or Venmo, hassle free.

All I have in the rear is bed bars and a tent. I throw on the swingout with spare and 2 jerry cans when I go camping. I'm going to start with a bastard pack made up of springs from a Ram 1500 and an OEM Tacoma leaf pack to see how that goes. If it doesn't work out I'll buy beefier springs. I also have extended brake lines, longer rear shocks, and a shackle flip kit to install when I have the time.

For future reference, butyl will stick regardless of dust/dirt - it's probably a good idea to blow out the door with compressed air but it's not a requirement unless you live near the Moab or something. :D

    All the mods
Cleaned all 6 bed bolts and hit them with a fresh dose of anti-seize. Noticed the middle 2 bolts were far more stubborn to remove than the front and back ones.

    All in due time...
I FINALLY completed some real mods, not just the ones that are purely for aesthetics. I am finally finding the time and funding to get around to the upgrades I’ve been putting off for years.

2 weeks ago today, I paid a little visit to @Speed Freek to get my install and CMC done, including new wheels and (gently used) tires. Jason is an awesome guy and his work was exceptional. I highly recommend him if you’re local.

Yesterday I installed the Car Solutions RFCC and a Natika front camera. No more guess work when pulling forward into tight spaces. Just need to dial in the camera location before I fully mount it.

Thanks, I'd sanded & polished 'em before. The cracks are what finally led me to replace them this time around.

For those who have done the UNI-filter mod, you might want to check the filter. I was swapping mine back to stock for the recall and found this:

That seems to be the consensus, which is why I decided to take my truck to him in the first place. He's done thousands of them and all the photos on his install page look like that. Before I knew what a CMC was, I had no idea what to look for in the photos because I thought it was all stock!
