:lalala: But I did confirm the detonator does't have any Takata branding on it.

Yea it was a bit of a job, started at 7:08 PM, finished at 2:45 AM. Sweet job we did though :cookiemonster:

Solenoid mounted in a 'sealed' box. Not very sealed when you drill like 5 or 6 holes though it. But I smothered it in RTV silicon sealant, so :notsure:

I now have a winch. I can join the cool kids club.

Found some cracks on the front of my truck.....:facepalm:It is exactly the same on both sides. We drilled a hole at the top of each crack to try and stop them from spreading more.

Noticed you don't have OEM flares anymore. Do your tires ever hit the inner fender when fully stuffed?

Nope, but I am on 255's. That was why I removed them, was the easiest fix.

Ok if stuff it hard yes I can get it to rub :bananadead:

I just picked up a 2kw with the digital controller. Haven’t set it up yet.

TONS of info in the expo thread:
    https://expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/200-5kw-portable-diesel-air-heater.191458/

The general consensus is they run best at full blast (they soot up less) so you’re better off with a smaller output unit running on high than a large unit on low. The 8 kw you linked would be way too much for our trucks/associates campers.

thank you looking through it. seems everyone is going the "put it in a tool box" install vs. the all in one. I'm leaning toward the all in one...

this one has no reviews... but i like it. hope it dosen't turn out to be my other russian snorkle

Can any of the 2nd gen guys that was in on the bison cam delet group buy measure the distance across the flats on the large one? Mines at 2 1/32 and the original cam diameter is 2 1/8.

id like to make sure i have the right kit because this is to sloppy for my liking

Yep mine was sloppy too, but since the install I've wheeled the truck and I have no complaints even though there is gap between the flat of the bison washer, and the flat that the original eccentric rides in on the lca mounting locations.
If I can remember correctly the rear washers fit fine and the front ones had the gap.

Yeah i just checked the rear after reading this. Still kinda sloppy but much better

if the fronts were the same i wouldnt complain as much

i might just whip up my own set out of stainless or something then

I haven't had a chance yet but this isn't what I wanted to hear. I'll measure mine up and see if there's a gap.

The gap is there, but there is absolutely no way it’s going to shift based on picture. Idk if the gap is a problem there...:notsure:

It can move the amount of the gap if the bolt were to shift. Same concept as not having cam tab gussets.
Its also the one directly under your tierod so it would affect your toe as well if it did shift or it was un installed and re installed again

Nice looking rig, though the running boards might not help against more than the door ding :p

what ceramic coat did you go with and how do you like the DiamondBack?
any more photos of the satin coverings? is it more like a vinyl wrap or is it more like a clear bra?
