Just got my new Toytec lift in today

Just received my new toytec lift in today 3" spacers w/ aal snd diff drop can't wait to install any advice on the install ?

Does your truck has the TSB (rear spring) installed?

and if yes, are you going to add a leaf (fifth one)? is this one is long or short? Any other hardware required for this is included in the kit?

nope no TSB never needed it have 100,000 miles no sagging + my 80,000 miles are up yes longer center bolts come with the kit

 

100k miles on your 05? dayum

 

yep and the check engine light has been on for a year and Toyota can't even find the problem

Why did u get the AAL instead of the 1.5inch blocks? Not criticizing I really dont know the difference as to why you would pick one or the other

 

AAL's ride ALOT better than blocks

 

Are AAL's any more difficult to install versus the ease of a block?

 

I didn't think that the AAL's would be a big deal, but they ended up being a bigger pain then the front shock assemblies. You are gonna need to be prepared to disconnect your rear brake lines, leading you to bleed your brake system when you are done installing the lift. With the rear brake lines still connected, there is not nearly enough room to squeeze the new leaf, overload leaf, and the longer center bolt between the old leaves ane the rear axle. Or you can remove your leaf packs all together and use a hydraulic press to compress them while off the truck.

If you decide to go with the first choice, are gonna need some heavy duty c-clamps to keep the two long leaves held together.

 

I thought about removing the brakets, but I was afraid I would kink them. Chris, do you have pics of the modified braket, if you did yours? I still need to do something with mine.

 

+1 I never had to disconnect my brake lines either. I simply disconnected the brackets and I had plenty of room. Same is true with the e-brake lines, just disconnect the bolt that holds the line to the frame and you should be fine.

 

X2 Never had to disconnect my break lines. Just used the jack to lower the axle down enough to put the leaf in there.
