    I don't think you have to do that... you should be able to just install VFTuner on your other computer and use it, as long as you're not trying to flash from that other computer it'll let you do it. I keep my files on a google drive so they're instantly accessible from both computers, so i can potentially edit on one and flash on the other.

    Pretty sure you only get one activation of vF unless something has changed

    yes you could put vF on one and the flash utility on another. But I don’t think you can put vF on multiple machines and activate them all.

    You make very good points. I want to respond in detail; but, I'm getting really fatigued with this whole vF endeavor and can't muster the will to give an equally thoughtful response... you seem like one of the few thoughtful people on these threads. I'll try be brief and hope I don't come off too rudely.

    Is it a coincidence that these tables don't increase for 4th and that's where it first lugs/reduces accelerating?
    Why do they increase between 1-3; but, not 4-6?

    I went down this path because, even though I didn't want it to be true, the OV tune felt exactly the same as stock wrt 4th gear decreased accel despite having higher shift points. So, I went looking for the reason/solution. I believe I found it.

    When I first changed these tables, it messed up the shifting... it shifted earlier into 4th and sounded like it was lugging more than ever; but, I didn't stop accelerating as much as before... that appears to be because it was making more power (and noise).

    Don't focus on the tach or the speedo or the sound... feel how your body lurches forward after it shifts into 4th due to the decreased accel (but not 3rd or 2nd, under normal acceleration on stock or ov)... or how it throws you back when it downshifts into 3rd with the slowest pedal increase. If you feel that difference, try increasing 4th gear values by up to 1.488x over 3rd... what does that feel like? (I have a lot more I want to do before I recommend values for these tables.)

    I'm not here to convince anyone of anything (I just remember you had the same complaints as I did); just trying to give a little something back.

    I waited a week to respond to your original post so I could think about it. It's going to take more and more of that as we get further into this thing. And don't worry, I'm not taking this as rude. I'm often wrong; the best way to get to the right answer is to listen to and consider other's viewpoints, so I'm glad you're sharing.

    And you are right, I absolutely could not stand feeling like someone applied the brakes on some of the stock upshifts into 4th, or feeling like I just got on a rocket ship when it would shift back down to third. That was atrocious.

    I think the per gear throttle limits increase from 1-3 because Toyota was trying to find a way to numb the accelerator pedal in first gear, so that low speed driving would not be twitchy. And I think they were on the right track with that idea. One of the early things I did in vFT was to make all of these tables identical for each gear (made all gears match gear 4 table). BUT, driving around parking lots became really twitchy and honestly a chore. So, I reduced first gear back to the stock setting. This was great, until you upshifted into second, and the truck would take off with the increased throttle. It took some trial and error to tune the tables to minimize the difference between gear 1 and gear 2, and still maintain the easy low speed throttle modulation that comes with the slower first gear throttle.

    Now, thinking about that lurch into second I had: I agree with you that you should be able to eliminate the bog by tuning the throttle to open at the 3-4 upshift and make more torque in 4th. If you get this to work smoothly, post up and share your tables!
