HKEY AUTO requires one wire snip, HKEY MANUAL requires the same one wire snip AND one tap. This hasn't changed and will not.

Yes, we're having an update, refresh going forward. This will be implemented on 2020-21 Push to Starts only, and in about 2-3 weeks. Till then, the 2016-19 is 100% plug n play, the 2020-21 is one wire snip...again until our harnesses are received and we kit them in 2-3 weeks. This will be the new norm at that time.

The phone companies are trying to collapse their wired landline infrastructure. So many people have opted for cell service it's just not economically viable anymore. I'm holding out, but I'm sure I'll eventually get booted. Looking to get a HAM license finally (the HAMS I know have been bugging me for years).

Even when cell towers are up and working, when SHTF, people feel the need to call someone* and the service gets swamped.

Yup. Online purchase was simply enough, shipping was a bit over 1 week. Install was a bit over 15 min. Just wondered why I didn't search for these units earlier like right after the 1st time I lifted the hood to do some electrical mods 3 years ago. I installed the units this Spring and have had no issues. My only complaint would be that the corners of the mounting brackets could be rounded off to give them a more finished look.

Wondering who of you has had Bullet Liner applied and what you think of it.
Not a huge fan of powder coating and it's ability or lack there of to deter rust. Would like to put my new rear bumper on but not before putting on another level of protection.

Not a big mod, but one of the first "usable" things I've done.

 

Is there a technical reason for this or just a conscious decision to keep the price down? It seems if there was a harness you could unplug nearby that you could build a T-adapter with that wire(s) coming out to tap into.

 

One of these days I'll go back to post #000001 and try and read them all.

Those are in my mod pile. Never understood why Toyota eleminated those particular tie downs. To me those two tiedowns are much more useful than the two by the tailgate.

 

Thanks! Yeah, the tie downs that come from factory aren't very useful if you want to strap down a stack lower than 3/4 and more up the side of the bed. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
