I have it installed for about 6 to 8 months. I like it. One thing I did notice, the tailgate opens every time with the dash button, not every time with the key fob. Can’t figure it out because every thing goes through the same module.

Works great, no problems so far. I've been running it for about 6 months.

Is it compatible with the OEM tailgate lock? Would be neat to have both.

I've installed it on my 2020 TRD Pro along with the KTJO tailgate lock/unlock module and it keeps killing the DSIM arduino module to operate the tailgate opener when I lock/unlock the tailgate. DSIM worked with me and replaced it a few times. He offered to help me troubleshoot and, admittedly I was late getting back to him, then went radio silent so I have not tried installing it again.

Has anyone else tried installing it on a 2020?

I was curious about it working on a 2020 especially one that has OEM remote start.

Yeah, I can't tell you exactly what is wrong but one of the wires going to the DSIM module is receiving voltage and in an amount its not capable of accepting and it kills it. When I contacted DSIM about it I inquired if he had heard back from other 2020 owners and if they were facing similar issues and it sounded like he had not heard back but it could also be no 2020 owners had purchased this piece of kit either.

Not a difficult install. Hardest part is running the wires along the truck to the cab.

I bought the tailgate lock and opener for my 2020 last year but just now got around to installing it. The lock/unlock works fine, however the opener doesn't actually open the tailgate. I've read several other similar issues. It appears the actuator doesn't have the strength to open the latch or it's not generating enough pull, maybe both. I understand the newer kits come with different length actuator arms, trying to see if I can get a hold of some.

Here's a video that shows the actuator being about 1/2" too short in order to open the latch:

@jcardona1 do you have remote start as well? I can’t figure out why my 2020 is killing the arduino module. So frustrating...

Yeah. Mine does too. I’m just trying to figure out why my setup keeps killing the tailgate opener module.

I've had it installed for about a year now, no issues. Works with my fob and all, couldn't be happier.
