 If you read the thread it's only 16 pages to cover 8 yrs of the discussion with not very many people posting and with a mixed bag of experiences and some that seem to of been proven wrong what the OP posted yet they didn't rebuttal back. There are tons of other threads about other things living there. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

we will see what happens. I love to snowboard been out there several times (never spent any time in SLC) and I love the outdoors so it’s pretty alluring. I also don’t want to get a pay raise and cut due to cost of living. I would be leaving everything and everybody I’ve ever known so it’s a big decision. I do love the Carolinas

There is a lot to do out there but there is also a lot to do and see here it's just different. If you've been here your whole life and haven't traveled much it might be worth it to be able to see that side of the country.

You mention cost of living increase. I will say when I was in WY (that was 20 yrs ago) the cost of groceries, fuel, and day to day goods was higher. Also is that house you showed similar in lot size and sqft as your current one if so and they are roughly the same cost that's good.

I enjoyed the year that I lived out there but it also took a toll on me wanting to be back to what I was use too. I think if I were out that way at my age now I'd want to stay.

Everything is blue even their couch. I will say they are extremely bold putting that on the market like that not turning it back neutral. But also look at the exterior, reminds me of the bungalows you see down in the keys and at the beach with the style of exterior plants, the window shutters, and the colors. Very bold for that area I kinda dig it. Those shutters like that also to me scream that it's either on a busy road or the front of the house gets hammered with sun all day and it's super bright, possibly the windows are older and lets a lot of light energy into the house and cooks it in the summer.

That’s a thing of the past. California has invaded them, so the real question is does @MGMStudioTaco want to deal with Californians?

Add NV and TX to that list. I think AZ is the last stronghold and as long as the ghost of Jeff Cooper stays there I think it'll hold.

Everybody likes bright colors and grey these days. We are trying to do more white and neutral colors in our remodel.

Don’t forget about CO, MT, Wy, and idaho. They are like an invasive species.

WY other than Jackson Hole is untouched, MT is getting to be like silicone valley for the those companies escaping the taxes, CO has been like that for decades so I really don't count them. CO is kinda like NY the vast majority of rural CO wants nothing to do with Denver, Vale, or areas like that and the people are nothing like those. But the last stronghold in Denver is the Grizzly Rose ah such fond memories there getting to see Chris LeDoux play. Man that was forever ago.

Really they are taking Idaho now too sheesh man that's surprising and nuts.

I get plenty of satisfaction from my one, if you get my drift...can’t imagine trying to keep up with more than that.

i really wanted to move down to TX a few years ago. I don’t think I’d want to go now. It’s already turned blue in all the major metropolitans

You can join the club for free, but you can't sit at the cool kids table with us GX owners at lunch.
