    @Shveet does your tonneau cover shift around off-road? Mine slipped 1/2" backwards after Ardbeg. It seems the aluminum brackets lose grip with the tonneau rails when flexing in rough terrain. I moved the rails back to the original position, only to have them slip backwards about 1/4" after Picard Lake Trail. This lets in water in the headerboard area.

    Those brackets aren't that great. I have these and they always come loose during trips.

    The Extang tonneau mounts differently (Extang and Bak are the same company): Five aluminum S-brackets bolt to the bed in place of the OEM accessory rail. The tonneau rail dovetails onto the S-brackets. As the S-bracket bolts are tightened, the tonneau rail is squeezed between the S-brackets and the bed. The OEM accessory rail then bolts to the lower flange of the S-brackets.

    I'll probably just fabricate an L-bracket to hold the tonneau rail in place (shown in red or green).

    nope. no movement, solid as a rock.

    you also need to remember mine was either;
    A) Braced by the RTT/ bed bars, so the bed wont flex
    B) Flipped all of the way up, to take on the large trash load

    Should see if you can find a set like mine.
    They hook into the rails and they usually get stuck in there so i have to knock them out when i take my cap off

    and fairly low profile

    Wouldn't it have to be open for access to hunt?

    Nobody has exact answer :notsure:

    I know from observation that most hunters park their trucks and trailers at the start of logging road that leads to the beach and use ATVs after.

    **EDITED**

    Just a guess but if the road is considered closed then insurance won't cover your vehicle so you’d be driving without insurance on those trails.

    Its also an access trail to bolger lake so people that own cottages there may have special permissions?

    Hunters probably go in on atvs which have very different rules than trucks since they aren't considered on road vehicles

    in the winter south trail is for sure closed because its a snowmobile trail and you cant drive down the snowmobile trail unless its your only access to a property you own

    only way to know for sure would be to contact the municipality and ask
