He started on the bump stops, he didn't want to move the engine any father back on it!

That supra was maybe... 10% rust and 20% "bodywork" done by the PO

I gotta get some of my projects on the go,
Need to get that bumper going, and need to modify my sliders slightly, install that Garage heater, and finish the wee one's Power Wheels.

    First World problems I guess.

anyone here good with electrical circuit design?
I'm trying to learn Eagle Cad to get some custom PCB's manufactured for my kids power wheels ( talk about feature creep! )

I bought some 12v "eagle eye" LED lights, and went a little overboard. I bought some cool red lights for Ethan's Jurassic Park Truck, and I bought some green LED's for Oliver's Big Foot truck, but I also bought some cool amber / white lights so they could actually drive them in the dark. I think I have it all figured out, but a second set of eyes would be good.

I have it setup so that there is a master on/off switch, then I have a separate switch for the lights. The light switch is an "on/off/on" 3 position switch. so when you flip the switch "up" the coloured accent lights & Amber lights come on. flip the switch "down" and the clolured accent lights & white lights come on ( night mode, lol )

That is what is holding me up from doing my other projects ( plus I can fiddle with this in my warm basement, instead of the cold garage ;))

    Everyone doing good?

    well, I'm that guy now.

I got some LED bulbs installed in my truck last week. Tonight, I was driving home to Halifax and several people flashed their brights at me on the highway. I did not have my brights on. I'm not sure what to do.

Switch back to the right kind of bulbs? I think our headlight assemblies are not set up to reflect LED correctly.

I think it depends on the design of the LED bulb more so than just the fact that its LED.

You can get some pretty bright halogen head lights at CTC. However, since they're brighter, the run hotter and have a shorter life span, and just as a cherry on top, they cost a fair bit!

You could always retrofit and do HID's. Added cool points and more better aimed light!

    well,
I just received some DXF files for some skids.... I'm going to see how much it will cost to get them Plasma cut VS just buying the raw steel and trying it myself.

the file is from another TW member, so my hats off to him for doing the legwork,
    thread here.

Anyone have an exhaust pipe expander?
I need to stretch out a pipe 1/16” to fix my exhaust leak so I can get the truck safely inspected

Basically LED lights require headlight enclosures made for LED lights or you blind everyone else no matter what way you point them. If you want LED headlights go spend the money on proper LED headlight enclosures.

So... since I'm lazy, here's a pic mid way through.

Did a compression test, 165-170 across all cylinders.

Cylinder one was wet, and started flooding with coolant.

HG issues, or a cracked head.

    HG= replacement

    Cracked head= junk yard motor.

Cracked head could also= +4 cylinders, depending on if's that would impact the situation.

    instant 4.10 upgrade!

I really hope its just something simple. Any chance I could swing by and take a peek at it all opened up?

any chance I can use the expander at the same time? dang exhaust flanges I bought from Amazon said it should have slipped over the existing pipe, but nope..... they are the exact same size. I only need to stretch it 1/16" and it should fit.

what is with this city and not having exhaust parts? Napa = nope, told me they only do OEM replacement stuff, Advanced autoparts was slightly better, but no flanges.
if anyone has any "good" auto parts places that actually carry exhaust repair stuff, I'd be grateful. ( I'm trying to avoid just putting a sleeve over the two pipes, Factory had a flange there, I'd like to put one back. )
