fixed my p0012 code by cleaning the actuator, screen and sensor. dealer wanted 12 hours x 140$/h plus parts.

cost me some oil and a roll of paper towels

The brown foam in your filler is fairly normal if you're only taking short drives and it's not hot enough for long enough to heat off the excess water/condensation. I get it in the winter on my truck.

Anything you can see dripping onto a belt or something below that's slinging the oil up? That's a weird spot to see a leak accumulate..

Yeah I have a 3.8 mile drive to work so it doesn't heat up a lot. And no that's why I thought it might be from my leaking rack that might have been thrown up into the cover but I fixed that a month or 2 ago now but it seemed to be fairly fresh. I was thinking about washing it off real good and see if any more builds up but now we have snow and cold

I sold my 02 with 345k. I have been averaging ~43k a year on my 15, so I’m psyched they easily get over 300k.

Usal Beach? Gold bluff beach? I absolutely love Usal. Such a great camping spot. Gold bluff is super cool too. When I used to live in Yosemite, I’d take trips up there all the time. I miss the Cali coast.

Anyone here have an Amazon or cheaper link to the bank 2 sensor 1 02 sensor? My check engine light came on and the local shops all want like $350 for the denso brand on around $300 for the Bosch one but I figured I’d check online first

    Getting any codes?
I would replace this gasket and see if the "oil" stops.

My new box of Noico came in. Now I have enough to do my floor and rear cab wall.

No codes ever. Thank you for the suggestion I will try replacing that and see if it fixes it.

Edit: Anyone know what this gasket is called? I am having a hard time finding it.

I believe that's the throttle body gasket?

    EDIT: Yes, it is!

This looks sweet I will google the brand. Is the overhang awning attached to the tent. It looks to be so? I believe the wife would like to shorter steps up at our age verses a RTT!

Everyone has their style of camping, but I never understood carrying all your gear in an uncovered bed, then having to unload it to then set up a tent with straps that go over your dirt/mud/sand covered body panels and then set up an air mattress /etc.

How is this setup better/worse than just having a tent on the ground, @theolee ?

Have fun. I did mine not that long ago (along with closed cell foam and MLV)

I also put a little foam like this... it seemed to help quite a bit
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/show-off-your-access-cab-photos.28345/page-222#post-23991271

I also added weather stripping that really helped,

the front and bottom of the doors:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07TC4B9C3

and to the cab edge where the door closed on it.
    https://www.amazon.com/CANOPUS-Car-Door-Seal-Strip/dp/B07PKGZ8Q7/

Knocked the wind noise down a healthy bit

I was looking at adding a layer of closed cell foam to the roof.

I added foam to the roof too, my roof rack is noisy, it helped.

I did the suicide doors, floor, and back wall with the dynamat, foam, and mass loaded vinyl. I’m stalling on the main doors until I figure out speakers. Still deciding, still wanting them but keep spending money on wheeling/suspension mods. Plus now I need new tires...
    :spending:

Do I want a sound system or rear shock relocate and 12” king smoothies. More flex or more sound? These are real problems! I am leaning towards flex, my upcoming tires, the roof rack, and the cowl intake mod all make the truck noisier. The peaceful quiet interior I want for strong clean sound just isn’t materializing.
