All good. I would still think the changes you make would apply for us MT guys to some degree.... But perhaps I am wrong. Perhaps @tonered might know..he seems to be one on the forefront of edits for MT

I believe @Mooseditty17 's M/W thing was done with the ETC Button and changes that it allows.

Basically, you would want @Mooseditty17 to look over the MT thread 1st Post to see if there are any maps in there that we didn't hit:

After driving around on a slightly modified stock file, I'm moving back to an OV file. I ran premium files before but did a regular one at first with VF. I have yet to run a OV 2.0 premium with the tweaks. That will be next when I get back from vacation.

Nope. We do have per gear maps, but the 2.0 Tunes only look at the PTTT and PTTT1G maps due to a patch that @OVTune wrote in.

We don't have S Mode or ECT.

Sometimes it will shift to 5th within a few seconds unless it’s a pretty steep hill then it will stay in 4th until it’s over the hill. Also if it stays in 4th all the way over the hill I’ll have to let off like you said for a sec then it will shift. It’s weird how inconsistent it is.

Make the acceleration shifting tables match your regular tables. I believe the acceleration tables are used along with the inclinometer in the truck and in high load uphill situations it locks out overdrive almost completely. The same way the acceleration maps are set up. I haven't tested this since I'd have to go out of my way to test in that condition but thats my educated guess at this point.

I've been running this tune for about a week now, and I gotta say, I really like it. Of all of the tunes I've run (1.05, a few 2.0 betas, 2.0 base, and a couple of user-created tunes), this has been the only one that spins the tires from a dead start. It's not like I was looking for that criteria in a tune or anything; but on any other tune, I've always had to absolutely floor it when pulling out into traffic. And even then, the other tunes would hesitate, stop and contemplate which gear they wanted to be in, wave hello to neighboring cars, and finally give the ol' Minnesota good bye before taking off (it's when you announce that you have to leave then spend an hour going around the party to personally say good bye to each person there). After all of that, the truck would then mosey on forward just in time to cut someone off and piss off traffic.

Not this tune. I have the opposite problem. My muscle memory tells me to floor it, but then the truck looses traction, which still causes me to pull out a bit late (giggity) and piss off traffic. I've finally learned to engage the gas pedal as I would on any other non-Tacoma vehicle.

My only slight complaint was going to be about cruise control, but I've since learned that we don't have access to the cruise maps yet; so it must revert back to the 2.0 base while on cruise.

As the community continues to learn vF Tuner, I'm guessing that we'll keep making incremental improvements; but for now, I'm damn happy about what we are able to do compared to stock. Thanks for sharing the tune, and thanks, @Mooseditty17, for "driving" many of the vF Tuner developments so far. I'll find that PayPal info you posted up earlier. Tonight's 6-pack is on me.

So by raising the half lock value for 5th the truck now unlocks and goes into half lock instead of skipping all the way to 4th. Sounds like it would be much smoother and help eliminate so much hunting, but is there any noticeable increase in trans temps?

This is interesting. On another note I have been clicking through premium vs regular tune and I can't find any differences. Has anyone else dug into this?

I’ve gone through every map and table in Vftuner and I can’t find the changes for premium vs regular octane. The only way I’ve found to make a premium file is to start with one of OVtune’s premium files to build a custom premium tune.

I found changes in two tables only. Those tables are Ignition timing low knock port and direct tables. Maybe @OVTune can chime in and shed a little light on the differences.
