Good info thanks yall. I do keep a noco boost in my truck just incase which got it running the other day in like 2 min. Appreciate it!

Awesome, thank you! Glad I don’t need to spend more $$$ as I thought I may need to shell out the extra $75.

IF you are not 04B04 (AT) then you will want to upgrade - see signature information of @tonered for Tech Stream download and associated information to upgrade ecu. GL. Hopefully you are already up to date on TSB's.

17 didn’t come with 04b04 from the factory. They were 04b02 or 04b03.

This sounds fun & manageable, but I've got to wait. It's a blustery day, (read Winnie the pooh too many times to the kids lol), don't need a power outage in the middle of a tune flash, a squirrel goes across the line is all it takes in my area, add the wind, it's worse

Ok so been running this tune all day today. Drive ability with this tune is on par with previous, but how the mpg’s went up. I was averaging about 16.7 on mild wild 3.1. On this tune im getting close to 19! Its so crazy how managing minute differences really plays a key roll in gains whether it be performance or mpg. Im running 285/75/16 Nitto Trail grapplers on stock gears. AF764ACA-33D4-492A-98F5-BD1926D83CC8.jpg

Looking for input on Torque Converters. I like the way I have 4th gear slip lock engaging and disengaging. I can't stand 3rd gear. Looking at the axis values just blows my mind and I get real frustrated, REAL FAST. Seeing as we can change those values now, would it make sense to:

Change 3rd gear slip lock axis values to match 4th gear slip lock. Then take the difference from my minimum shift points to the minimum lock up on the 4th gear slip lock and transpose that to the 3rd gear slip lock. Then whatever number value I raised the minimum I'd do the same for all the other values, IE: add 5...
Then do the same with the unlock values. Copy the axis and subtract the difference from my lock to unlock for 4th and to that for 3rd.
    3rd gear slip lock theory.jpg

Is there a way while logging, with either TechStream or vFTuner to mark a specific situation? Lets say I'm driving along and I see the TC lock is still on but I'd really like it to unlock for it maintain momentum without a downshift. Can I mark that point so I can go back and change things?

Did you spend most your time in drive or ect pwr? Was there a lot of gear hunting, or did it hold it's own?

    OG Flash Kit Peeps!!!!!
I am a Flash Kit owner that upgraded to vF Tuner.
I have been utilizing vF Tuner since it was released.
I just got a new tuning Lap Top and I loaded vF Tuner in it already.
I can't think of any reason to load the older Flash Kit Software in my new tuning PC.
Can anyone think of any reason I might want to do so? I am done with all Tunes previous to 2.0.

Here's my thought to simplify this situation... In this example lets say I shift into third at 22 mph and into 4th at 33 mph. I'd want my truck to "lock up" shortly after shifting into third. So we'll say 25 mph. I then raised the remaining values to correspond how 4th gear was set up. To make the unlock make more sense, I changed the axis values to match lock. So I'm driving along... the truck shifts into 3rd gear at 23 mph at 6% throttle. At 7% throttle the truck locks up at 25 mph. I press the pedal further to 10% and the truck begins to accelerate to 36ish mph. While accelerating to 36ish mph I encounter a hill. While maintaining 10% throttle the truck begins to lose momentum... Once the speed gets down to 21 mph the TC unlocks and I begin to regain momentum. This is correct, no? Or should I start writing short stories?

@OVTune please chime in if you see this.

Yes, you can do it with techstream. Not so much with vF.
In techstream, use dual data and select engine and tranny. Some of those solenoids that control slip lock are under tranny CU.
