    Greetings Tacoma folks,
My trusty 95 with a 2.7 has finally reached the point of needing a new alternator. Being left in the north Oregon coast range in November with a dead battery, no fun.
I read somewhere, I believe here that some are using a Suzuki alternator to upgrade the amp output. Can anyone confirm this or direct me to the thread. I did a search but found nothing
    Thanks
    Odie

This means that I don’t have to worry about an alternator until about 2035!

I forgot the disclaimer that I bought the truck used about 5 yrs ago so I have no idea how old the alternator is. Although it got me home after a jump and whacking it with a hatchet. Lol

Find a starter/alternator shop that rebuilds them. They can usually boost output during a rebuild and it will cost less than a new one.
