I assume you are asking about the CBI front hitch mount. I will definitely post some pictures of the install and write it up with any issues I encounter. I am a newbie so I will be following the install that put me on to CBI in the first place (http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72923).

I always wanted a front mount hitch for my 1995 Tacoma but never got inspired enough to do anything about it. After seeing the CBI custom fab hiding it in the bumper, it would be wrong not to install it on my 2011. I haven't received and timing updates, but I ordered from CBI on Nov 4th. Their standard leadtime is 8 weeks but when I spoke to Steve on the phone, he said he should be able to ship in 4-6 weeks. As I noted before, I should have it before Christmas.

I made 2 more 1/4" CB spacers yesterday for a total of 1/2" of total drop. Did nothing for my vibes. Looks like Im going to be shimming it next.

Took mine on a minor off road trip to a range, up an ATV path instead of the regular road (this is a-ok with the property owners, it's just a really rough trail). Only needed 4wd once, otherwise just had it in Limited Slip mode. There's a nice new dent in my factory skid I need to pound out now. :D

I ordered bolt on sliders with kickout from CBI along with posted my factory tube steps up for sale on craigslist- hopefully that will cover 1/2 the price of the sliders.

I also set-up the Smartstart that I had installed on my truck on Saturday while they were fixing my old remote start. Now I can start, lock, unlock, and turn on the alarm for my truck from my iPhone. I don't even have to be anywhere near my car to start it anymore- as long as my phone and my truck both have cell phone signal it'll work. The only downfall is there's like ~20 sec delay for the commands to work, and it's $26/year. I highly recommend it to anyone with an Autostart, Python, or Viper remote start.

    Rod,

thanks for your reply. I am a newbie at this too. I've never taken the front of the truck off but I want that front hitch. When I get it, I'll have no choice to do it then. I am definitively looking forward to your pics!

Let the wife use it for a few days while her 2011 Highlander was on its way from the factory. Now the family is complete! No more American brand pos on my driveway.

Let me know how you like the Highlander. We have a 2002 Honda Odyssey that needs to be replaced (160k miles and transmission is starting to slip at medium load). My wife wanted another minivan but I got her looking at crossovers. She wants some cargo space and three rows of seating. I think the Highlander should work for us.

I am considering the Hybrid. Most of her driving is stop and go so 28 mpg city or hwy is attractive and still have the power of the V6.

Yesterday I installed some 5100s all around with some Eibach springs up front. Front Bilsteins set at 0.

    So far I'm loving it!

I'll tell you right now, we love ours. We recently traded in our '05 Highlander for a '10 Highlander and it reminds my wife of her old Sienna that she missed. She doesn't miss it anymore.:D Handles fantastic in the snow too.
