Just did the H9, huge improvement! All philips bulbs from Germany thru Amazon, note the back of the packaging indicates bulb life at 500 hours.

Nicely done. The emitters look a little large for precision focus. A helpful thing to include in your review would be a wall shot at about 20' away with one halogen and one LED to compare the hotspot pattern focus and placement. I'd include them in the thread if someone wanted to lend me a set.

If I were a betting man though (I'm not, Engineers are way to risk adverse) I'd put all my eggs in the basket of the latest Morimoto LED product launch with the unprecedented 2.0mm width. I really look forward to testing those and expect we'll see the best optical performance yet from a replacement LED.

Thanks. And I agree about the wall shot. Unfortunately I don't have a good place to do that. The inside of my garage has bare OSB walls (not to mention all the stuff piled against the walls) and the outside has too much light pollution from the parking lot lights to get a true comparison. I was trying. But, that's where I felt the road shots were the best tool. Especially considering, as you mention, the often downfall of LEDs is the light output beyond 20' and into the 40' range. HR has a few good comparison videos, but we have already established the potential issues there considering their affiliation with GTR Lighting. The output shots were all taken at the same on ramp location, but as you can see, I didn't get an exact perfect match of conditions. Just as close as I could.

There's no doubt it isn't an exact match to the size of the halogen filament, but it is pretty close. But, again, there's a lot of room for error in that statement considering I didn't have a truly accurate way to measure them and my side-by-side shots of the bulbs aren't the best. But, I am definitely looking forward to seeing your results from the Morimotos as well. If I remember, I'll have to get back with you about loaning them out.

You know it is Black Friday week when your email starts blowing up with all the sales. Got this one from TRS, so I'll order up those Morimotos for 15% off.

Nothing like spending $250+ to get a free TRS face mask :rofl:

The 20% off deal for the Morimoto XBs is pretty tempting.

Looking forward to it! I've been getting similar emails recently as well from places I thought I unsubscribed from.

Looking at their website, it appears to be the same as GTR Lighting and Headlight Revolution. Are they affiliated too?

TRS has been buying up aftermarket lighting companies. In the last two years they have purchased Headlight Revolution and Xenon Depot. Gives the illusion of competition.

That makes sense. They should at least use different website formats

Loving my Hikari Ultra H11s reviewed here. Got them a few days back for both high and low beams. I hope they last as long as advertised but either way very impressive LED over stock. Here are some pics of high and low beams.

I might be wrong, but I don't think Selective Yellow is available in the Max Fog version yet.

I asked the manufacturer a while back, for a demonstration of the lights working.
For the projector model, they do have sequential turn signals. Even the alpharex start up.

Only if you order 100+ units will they make a custom build.

Yeah, I noticed all three used the same website design. I noticed because it's bulky and makes it difficult to buy the items YOU might want. As someone who has built websites in various classes i though this was peculiar. Thank you for pointing this out.
